Hi Friends,

This week in Lil Champs, we saw 1st public voting elimination..Unfortunately one of the most talented singers Sahil Solanki got eliminated as he received least number of votes from the public.. Considering Sahil’s talents Zee TV has given him a direct admission in the next season of Saregamapa Little Champs.. and meanwhile he will take a formal classical training with none other than Suresh Wadkar.. So hopefully guys we will see a newly improved Sahil next year.. Besides elimination friday was full of surprises for Sonu Nigam.. as the whole episode was dedicated to him and his very close friends and family members were called on the sets to enjoy the special episode along with him.. And on Saturday we had some really Special guests.. Disco king Mithun Chakrobarty, lovely Amrita Rao and Nikhil Dwiwedi.. All the kids sang Disco songs.. All the Little Champs are surely very talented and are giving each other a very good competition..

Lets discuss this week’s show here.. Questions like..

Do you think judges gave proper grades to all the kids? Were they judges right on the comments they gave? Was the show overall enjoyable? Is the decision of no elimination this week right? Which Little Champ touched your heart? Who steals the show this week? You can even grade Little Champs on the basis of their performance.. Comments regarding anything related to this week’s show are welcome..

Lets just make this as a topic of discussion.. and prevent bashing each other and the Lil Champs of the contest..

I agree with delh_gurl.
The judges did not point out a lot of mistakes last week.
Also, the show format is such that you have to prove yourself every week. How much of that is responsible for your votes is debatable…let’s not go into that.
Although, I have been looking forward to Vaishali getting eliminated for the last few weeks, I must admit that she’s been surprising me. I dont know if it is her song choice (genre that suits her) or what, but she’s been good in the last few performances.

About the very last show of 2007
Honestly I did not like the judgment. All the contestant got A or A+. But if we listen to them really carefully there were lot of mistakes. Those mistakes were not all communicated to them and also did not reflect in marks. That do not mean they sang bad but it means they need more practice. The judges should be little more critical because being critical do not mean the singer is bad it only means there are so much room for improvements.

Also in the show Sonu got little mad at Smita as she was trying to be little smart that was a good thing from Sonu’s side like do not ask sympathy.

The bottom 3 Aamir Shail Vaibhav well they may be good singers but that do not mean they need to be in the top 3. Some one has to be at the bottom and this time public choose them to be at the bottom Please do not bas public we public are very smart to choose the correct singer. We proved it again and again.

Vaishali may be the most weakest as per me but again she is the most smartest girl. She was the only girl who can make Mithun Dance to her tune. We need to cheer her for that.

So friends lets try to do a resolution this year

“We will not bash each other we can oppose other opinion but with dignity and pride but no bash against each other nor to any contestant or judge. Judges we may or may not like a particular judge but let us give them the credit of being famous and we are only responsible to make them famous. Let is keep our cool and play a safe game.”

hi guys,

thanks TheIndecent for remembering, Happy New Year to you as well and to the gujju gang

i think the program is going great guns and one of the reason is the judges, they know music and they know what they are talking about, unlike other music shows going on right now

therefore the judges are perfect and so are the performers, i do not think anybody at this stage is doing bad, however as the format goes, the person with weakest performance for the day comes into the danger zone and are eliminated

vibhor, Rohan, Amir and Vasundhara are my favourites in that ranking, however i believe that vibhor and vasundhara would be eliminated before the other two

also its very nice to see some guests or the other and we get to know the stars closely

for those watching other musical shows, i think Jhoom India is doing great and yes Sandipq i will prefer Himesh on Bappi any day, i think knowing music is one thing but commenting properly is another, anyway Himesh likes to create a hype and that makes the show interesting and competitive, so thats okay

anyways, anybody knows where Himesh is lost these days?????????????????

Sandip you are right, we have one of our own in K for Kishore and he looks the best, apart from the over exposed old guy

interestin points u make there Chandrashekhar.hope that u continue to giv ur honest and insightful comments as ppl are needed in this forum.the reson why i say this is cos ppl accusin me for bein sharibhai when he was banned ot of the forum cos of them.so its gud to hav sum1 like u not bashin me or aders for that fact.i am only here on this site to post sharibhais marks and comments.sowi if i undermined ur judgement sandipb by makin u think im sharibhai cos remember he was banned cos url guys.do u think he would wana cum on this site and face urlls abuses url must be crazi 2even think that.for god sakes hav pride in ur selves and stop accusin aders of bein sum1els its jus dumb.may the best kid win

I agree with lilgirlieee thar we should stick to the topic.
But still I want to answer Chandrashekhar. I already created a topic about the copycat show of K for Kishore.
Apurva of SRGMP is one of the contestants and he IS a good singer.
Then there is Arnab Chakroborty who is a playback singer (khaki, Family and a few others).
So why can’t Bappi Lahiri be one of the judges when the norm is to have judges who were close to KishoreKumar? And Bappi Lahiri always is polite towards the contestants and motivates them. Or you prefer Himesh?
And Gajendra Singh is no longer with Zee. He joined Star long ago.

Loved ur comments on the show. Keep posting. Linc G Vasu is my favourite as well. I think her attitude is just amazing and her renditions soulful. Its nice to read comments that are constructive rather than abusive.

I’ve seen this show before, I do think it is terrible, but some people might like it. I think this is wrong. And by the way, Aanshi so kindly asked us to stick to the topic, which is what I think we all should do.

Saregamapa is the ultimate in reality shows!
What a team…what a talent hunt….

Guys, can someone please inform Gajendra Singh (the maker of SAREGAMAPA) that he should NOT invite BAPPI LAHIRI to grace his beautiful shows!!!

Reason ? Here goes:
Just saw a show called “K FOR KISHORE” - you know what is their tag-line? “Band Karo yeh shor - play only Kishore”…..the judges there are Bappi, Amit Kumar and Sudesh Bhosale!!

You should SEE the singers there to believe! They are HORRENDOUS…..so bad that I have half a mind to unsubscribe SONY from my cable guy!!!

Ok the singers are BAAAADD….but what does BAPPI do “Bahut Achcha…..” and award them 7’s and 8’s out of 10!!!!

I think Bappi has lost his marbles.

You know what…on one of their shows they invited ASHA PAREKH…..now this lady’s comments were MORE APT than all the 3 judges combined together!!!

- Bappi lahiri has lost his marbles.
- Amit Kumar - although a good singer does not
know the meaning of SURR.
- Sudesh Bhosale should stick to mimicry!

Hats off to Gajendra Singh and his team and RAH RAH to Sony to even THINK to try to stage a show which is a copy of saregamapa…!!!

First of all thanx for posting such a nice topic as it was really much needed topic.

I am really upset since public voting started. Before Loria was out and Vishali Inn and this week Sahil out and Vibhore and Aamir was about to out. Tanmay doesn’t have training but got A+, Rohit got Classical Training even got A. Public giving votes upon favouritism but not for talent. I am sorry, if some one hurt, but i wrote what i feel.

May the best kid win (probably not possible) due to public voting. Any ways Good Luck All.

i think that the judges should request to zeetv that there should be a system of 50%votes for them and 50% to public.in this way result is much more fairer than previous shows

I thoroughly enjoy the show. I don’t think the judges should be giving any more grades. Vasundhara is my favorite and steals the show at least in my heart, but I also find most of them very enjoying. I think Tanmay is definitely headed somewhere in the top. Vaishali is also in my opinion up there I think she is very talented. My goodness these kids are amazing to be able to prepare and perform within these timeframes. My favs are Vasundhara, Tanmay, Vaishali and Rohit. But I admire and love them all.
