Two Lucky Champs to move forward via Wild Card Entry - Poll

Saregamapa Little Champs - Wild Card Entry Result Special Episode on 21 December - Poll

On 21st December, we will get to know who are the two lucky Little Champs entering the Saregamapa Little Champs competition via Wild Card Entry.. This decision will be taken considering public votes.. But if we look at the performances I think one little Champ Sahil Solanki outshined everyone else.. and should be back via Wild Card Entry.. Even Sonu was quite sure of his re-entry.. 2nd Little Champ to rejoin the competition can be Loria Doshi.. So according to me based on last week’s performances.. Sahil Solanki and Loria Doshi should be the two lucky champs entering the Saregamapa show again..

What do you guys think?

Whom do you think should move forward in the Saregamapa Little Champs competition

Leave judging to the proffessional musicians and singers. It is not a popularity contest.

I agree with you. Only people associated with musical industry Should judge the contestents. It is not a popularity contest. Loria Doshi’s father tried to get her in by voting from several computers. Majority of the public does not understand the Soor or the quality of voice. For example, Vasudhara is a medioker singer, but she gets the sympathy vote and that is not right.

I heard that some websites count a response from one IP address only once. That way it can be eliminated to some extent. But if same person logs in different computers then it will be like ” Taj Mahal - one of seven wonders” :lol2: :lol2:

    Ray,
If they do that, they’d have to trace the IP address every time someone votes, and then write the IP addresses to a database table, which would again need to be checked everytime someone requests the voting page. I am no WP expert, but dont know how easy it would be for Aanshi’s team to implement it.

    Aanshi,
Here is what I thought. I am sure you all know it. I am just sharing my thoughts. Number of votes for each candidate under first and second rank, and then make a bar graph (two bars for each name-how many said first and how many said second). I don’t know how you guys will program it.

    Rank1 Rank2
    sahil 89 42
    loria 46 50
    vaishali22 22
    barbie 15 14
    sagar 10 12
    Sayan 4 2

    Total voters 176 142
I just came up with some approximate numbers.
When I put this in Excell it made sense to me.

Please don’t laugh if it sounds very basic.

    aanshi,
you know where the problem is?…. i have to vote everytime i want to look where the poll stands!! … no wonder there’s almost double the no. of votes. I think there should b a way to link the ip-address to the vote counting code telling it to display the current result instead of the “voting page” if it’s a repeat ip-adress.
I hope I make some sense in that long clumsy sentence.
    beingfair n musicbuff … u r welcome! it’s fun chatting in this forum :)

    delhi_gurl,
You’ve made your stand very clear in the past as well, regarding public being the best people to judge musical talent, however, I dont endorse the same view. I dont think enough of the viewers of these shows (since the over-commercialisation of music shows) are “musically educated” enough to make “musically correct” decisions. Put in other kinds of bias, and you know the end result.
As far as the commercial reasons for Wild Card go, I too feel that commerce has more to do with this decision than music. But at least there is no moral excuse to it. Peace.

I think let us take the wild card entry in its positive way. Now lot of people are saying about why do we need it. Even one contributor said the elimination was done by judges and not by public or low voting… then why to allow them in. I think the reason may be this. The singers are there to entertain the public that is “WE now be it Sonu Nigam or Sudesh Wadker again “WE the public has made them famous so we the public has the authority to question there judgment and should try to correct there failures of judgment and give another chance to the eliminated singers. This is the reason we are getting this chance at the second elimination and not the first when all singers through out the world came and few where eliminated who were mainly out of India. I can see a musical sense to it.

Now on the business sense Zee needs money from SMS to give it to the rich like the film stars or the TV stars by choosing the best singer performer and all and they don’t want to give that from there pocket. Also they need money to give gifts to the guests like Karina and all and they raise a substantial part of this money from public voting. Last I heard each votes put about Rs 6 to the pocket of SRGMP that means the math is simple.

    Beingfair

I think the top 2 favorite of mine as of now are
    A) Loria
    b) Sahil

    and followed by
    a) Barbie
    b) B)Sayon

I think in a long run Sayaon will be better than Sagar…..
Sagar is a good singer Sayon is technically more correct I think so

I know about this Percentage thing.. But whenever I allow a user to chose more than 1 answer it behaves wierdly.. Basically voters are only 173.. but we have more than 300 votes.. so theres some prob.. I have talked with one of the team members who handles the technical part.. Lets see if he can change this..

Thanks Ray, for responding on my behalf.
I have also been supporting Sahil’s comeback all along, although the whole wild card thing might be unfair to the “Top 8″ contestants. Though Sahil really deserved not to go out in the first place, I dont understand the logic of wild card entry in this show. The contestants were not eliminated due to low votes by public, but were actually considered fit to be eliminated by the esteemed judges. What, then, is the explanation of bringing them back?

I also agree ….. Sahil anytime for me! and like Musicbuff said I feel thankful about this wild card thing for the sake of sahil! We would have missed out on him.
And also Loria … she definitely has potential.
But looks like only unbiased sensible people access this site ;), so this poll mite not show the real voting trend!!

    MusicBuff I didn’t understand…what percentage logic?

For the first time I will be comfortable with wild card if these two get in. Now I feel it would have been unfair if we didn’t give a chance to Sahil to prove himself once more. I am proud of Sahil.

    hi everyone!

i am new. happened to find this site and found your comments interesting. love open forums like that. makes the world smaller

i like amir (for his ability), tanmay (for his cuteness and his parody), rohan (for his sweet sweet voice) and vibhore ( cos he is too cool- im 28 and i have a little crush on him..cant imagine the halat of the younger girls)

i like smita and barbie (cos i love their voices and their style)- hate the way the judges always over judge smita - thank god that girl is strong and only takes the criticism positively - but sometimes you can see the sparkle just die in her eye :heartbreak:

now i am just a regular person, no music background ( just a little kirtan when i was a kid) and i can say honestly that if i was voting i know i would be carried away by my feelings and vote for the ppl i like … not cos i think they are the best singers but cause they appeal to me (best personality).. thats what i think public voting is all about. its very difficult for ppl to vote just based on talent and most ppl vote based on state and area and how much the participant appeals to them.

so what zee should do..to stop ppl like me from voting as we like…is..they should guide us in the form of marks (not grades), top 3 position and constuctive critism. so that i may think about the choices i have and make the best choice for the right reasons. and maybe zee should have bottom 2 votes and let the judges decide who is kicked based on a similar song. that way there is still some credibility and not just layman picking who they like based on … our un’learned’ ears and our ‘biased’ eyes and our ‘feeeellliiingsss’

    second part

anyway i dont know how to say this  but i really dont like loria, vaishali and vasundhara… their voices irritate me. im just a layman so i am talking out of my arse when it comes to good signing. so i am just gonna talk about signing that pleases me. i will be bashed by loria/vaishali/vasundhara fans i know… but thats the risk one takes when we say whats our opinion

i know loria/vasundhara rarely make mistakes.. but their voices…omg i dislike it. i wont say hate… thats too strong a word to use on anyone.
i find vasu’s voice very childish and loria’s voice just grates. i know that they are good in sur and all that but i just cant appreciate their singing.
however thats all i dislike.. i love vasu’s spirit i love the way she giggles and makes that funny ssound whenever she gets a good comment. and i think she is very inteligent cos she always has a good comeback.
i love the way loria uses her hand to keep rhytm. and i love that she is a genius. one up for us girls. i also love the way her father looks at her. you can see the love shining right through his eyes. :rose:
vaishali i think is too young and can only do some songs well ( i think i am biased cos vaishali used to beg for marks and she managed to stay on even though sayon and sahil were better)

bottom line is i think ameer or smita should win. what might happen is : vasu wins !!
why? cos she is more popular at this point of time

    however

i have a sneaky feeling zee is making her popular so that they will get another sms war like when deewaker was top 3. cos ppl will always argue that she is getting votes cos she is blind and can sing well not cos she can sing well… hmmmm where do we draw the line?
