Sumedha Karmahe is from Rajnandgaon, Chattishgarh, India. She is 18 years old and has interests in watching movies, hanging out with her friends and obviously singing. Her favorites in Bollywood are Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Asha Bhosle.
Fortunately Sumedha who was in Eklavya group was selected by Bappi Lahiri and as a result became a yodha of Josh Gharana.
Saregamapa contest is not over yet and she has bagged a prestigious opportunity of singing for Mahesh Bhatt’s next movie.

Frankly speaking, when Subhash ghai sent an invitation to Sumedha, initially I thought it was a bit too early to recognize someone. But now I feel these people are real experts they don’t take long to recognize talents. No doubt Sumedha is awesome! They should not connect her with those love triangle stories.

Hi Sumedha,
Whay did u choose a wrong song which could in no way help to prove your skills. I had huge expectation after Chupkese. Don’t know why but a bit disappointed. Also u did not sing as u usually did there was a large gap to what u were & to that in hey baby show. Did u purposefully do that or r u disturbed.
Wish you all the best. To say once again Chupke se was anything above excellent. If AR Rahman happens to listen he will definitely approach. Pls repeat that same performance for future show.

today you sung my most favorite song. I maintain a golden list of songs for myself and this was one among. When ever I remember about my Girl friend I remember this song which apparently happens to be her fav too. To reveal you the truth you resemble her the most also when you speak I cud feel the similarity. Today u just sung the same song which I wished u shud some days & it was a dream come true for me.
U did a marvelous job!! esp after the first interlude the line tujh bin .. purvaii was crystal clear perfection. I jsut wanted to thank u & congratulate u and wish you all the best.

Very rarely do we get a chance to see a singer like you, I watch the show only for your performance. Call me biased if you want to, but I make sure that everyone I know votes for you, too. You were fabulous while singing “Nigahein Milaane Ko”. I shall be glad if you sing “Tu Jahaan Jahaan Chalega” from the film “Mera Saaya”. Keep up the good work!! YOU ARE THE BEST.

Hi Sumedha,
You are doing good so far and wish that you continue doing more good. Good to know that you are approached for Mahesh Bhatt’s movie. Being a true fan wish you dont get into acting or singing for sub standard movies. His movies though has good songs is just a remake of mid-east or Pak songs which doesn’t offer much. I wish you try all you best to approach AR Rahman. One advice is that day by day the sharpness is going low in your voice pls take care and avoid nasal interference. Also the breath can defy you in critical stages so wish u give more care. Singing comes as a gift from god but prayer alone cant help. So practice and improvisation is more necessary. Also pls pull an end to the love drama where u r being portrayed, This can make u loose the votes.

First i want to thanks saregamapa to bring you up on the stage and ofcourse bappi da whose gharana you are representing….i don’t know much about music but one thing i noticed in your voice is, it’s very clear and touching. the song “Baho ki darmiyan” which you sang was really awesome… it touches everyone’s heart. And ya one more thing i wish to tell you is you looks really like dall but your voice is beautiful then your looks :)….
i have only have one request to you, i need that “baho ke darmiyan” song in mp3 or any other format which i can download… please let me know from where can i get it????

u know, actually I’m not a big Saregamapa fan… i rarely watch this show on TV…. but the day I saw u perform on stage, i got da greatest shock of my life… i was perplexed n still when i heard ur voice… goshh.. how can a voice be so enchanting n so beautiful.. wat a voice u have!!… simply mind-blowing… i mean, i think i’m in love wid ur voice… i wish i cud meet u for once n listen 2 any one of ur songs personally…. the day i heard u singing ‘Baahon ke darrmiyaan’ i became crazy abt ur voice n singing… u’re simply fantastic.. and this i shud say with pure confidence that u can be the next Lata Mangeshkar if u keep singing like this.. all the best 4 ur career n future.. n yes do remember that I’m ur greatest fan….!!!….
