    hi everyone!

i am new. happened to find this site and found your comments interesting. love open forums like that. makes the world smaller

i like amir (for his ability), tanmay (for his cuteness and his parody), rohan (for his sweet sweet voice) and vibhore ( cos he is too cool- im 28 and i have a little crush on him..cant imagine the halat of the younger girls)

i like smita and barbie (cos i love their voices and their style)- hate the way the judges always over judge smita - thank god that girl is strong and only takes the criticism positively - but sometimes you can see the sparkle just die in her eye :heartbreak:

now i am just a regular person, no music background ( just a little kirtan when i was a kid) and i can say honestly that if i was voting i know i would be carried away by my feelings and vote for the ppl i like … not cos i think they are the best singers but cause they appeal to me (best personality).. thats what i think public voting is all about. its very difficult for ppl to vote just based on talent and most ppl vote based on state and area and how much the participant appeals to them.

so what zee should do..to stop ppl like me from voting as we like…is..they should guide us in the form of marks (not grades), top 3 position and constuctive critism. so that i may think about the choices i have and make the best choice for the right reasons. and maybe zee should have bottom 2 votes and let the judges decide who is kicked based on a similar song. that way there is still some credibility and not just layman picking who they like based on … our un’learned’ ears and our ‘biased’ eyes and our ‘feeeellliiingsss’

    second part

anyway i dont know how to say this  but i really dont like loria, vaishali and vasundhara… their voices irritate me. im just a layman so i am talking out of my arse when it comes to good signing. so i am just gonna talk about signing that pleases me. i will be bashed by loria/vaishali/vasundhara fans i know… but thats the risk one takes when we say whats our opinion

i know loria/vasundhara rarely make mistakes.. but their voices…omg i dislike it. i wont say hate… thats too strong a word to use on anyone.
i find vasu’s voice very childish and loria’s voice just grates. i know that they are good in sur and all that but i just cant appreciate their singing.
however thats all i dislike.. i love vasu’s spirit i love the way she giggles and makes that funny ssound whenever she gets a good comment. and i think she is very inteligent cos she always has a good comeback.
i love the way loria uses her hand to keep rhytm. and i love that she is a genius. one up for us girls. i also love the way her father looks at her. you can see the love shining right through his eyes. :rose:
vaishali i think is too young and can only do some songs well ( i think i am biased cos vaishali used to beg for marks and she managed to stay on even though sayon and sahil were better)

bottom line is i think ameer or smita should win. what might happen is : vasu wins !!
why? cos she is more popular at this point of time

    however

i have a sneaky feeling zee is making her popular so that they will get another sms war like when deewaker was top 3. cos ppl will always argue that she is getting votes cos she is blind and can sing well not cos she can sing well… hmmmm where do we draw the line?

    musicbuff,
in a way u are right. I don’t know what it is that i enjoy sgrmp more to watch than svoi. But the saturday episode i really like soniya (svoi) and the girl who sang namak ishk da. My point is the singers in that show are good (kids) but i also saw favourism a lot. This guy ( now its hard to remember his name kunal ganjawala said u sang good but nichay ke note is not good so i give u not sarvottam but the second number and the other 2 judges gave him sarvottam…. now when soniya sang kunal said u were singing from nose she said i had cold but than he tells her i will still give u sarvottam i felt bad for the others. Abhaas he is trying but he can’t be like ADITYA. Aditya is one of the favourite very execellent host.

Well in some ways u are right but i still find singers in svoi are better than sgrmp

Well lets hope sgrmo gets better :rose:
    take care

    Hi, I was just kidding.
And its true that I do get a lot of different angles to look into when I read other people comments.

I am not a knowledable person in music, so when I read some other viewpoints, it makes me look into the matter from a different perspective. And it helps!

    Sandip what happened?
Don’t take things to heart please!
I think we all are matured people and we all have our own conscience why will we enrich our knowledge by reading others’ comments? I don’t think so.
Comeon say something funny….like “broken record”…it made me laugh aaalll day…. :lol2:

Who cares what Sandip thinks! He is enriching his knowledge by reading comments from you all, well almost all.
But I am also missing Ketki and Ravisd. Where they have vanished? :?:
And why Delhi-gurl is so silent? :?:

For me, when I look at the singer’s talent I don’t really look at the kind of opulance or creativity involved in the show.

Keeping aside the quality of judges and the host, I did like some of the kids in VOI. They are surely good. If they found hosts like Sureshji and Sonuji they would have been really lucky!

And yeah, I did watch two episodes of the show (Friday episode of the first two weeks) and did not like it. To tell you the truth I could not tolerate the full length of the episode…. :lol2: …believe me, I’m not exaggerating. I was disgusted! Particularly the very first episode with Kunal, Pritam and Shreya hosting the show…omg, I almost puked.
Then I mustered some courage again 2nd week (giving them the benefit of doubt, and hoping at least we would have Shaan back as anchor) and watched the show. To my dismay, I found out that Shaan has come to say his goodbyes and then he handed over the show to Abhaas. And my god, the way Abhaas was hamming, I just shut it down, and vowed to never ever watch that show.
Had the contestants been above-average, I’d have still managed, but really, it is not my cup of tea.

    Jenny,
I have no intention of offending anyone. Was just putting forward my opinion, and I respect yours too. However, from Sandip’s comment I got the impression that he had not yet watched the show, and was assuming that the kids should be good since Pritam has given them a break. That’s why I advised him to watch the show himself and then form an opinion.
Personally, I guess the presentation (or the lack of it) turns me off more than anything else. And as far as singing talents go, I dont enjoy mediocrity. That’s why I also dont like Indian Idol. Even in Indian Idol, there are one or two good singers in each season but the mediocrity of the remaining contestants is what I cant stand. :rose:

    musicbuff,
i am not the only one saying that svoi is better this year in chote ustaad. Please why don’t u watch and u will see the difference. Kids svoi are much much way way better than sgrmp.

Sandipb will not comment until and unless he is sure and thats why sandip is also agreeing with me

I am more enjoying svoi and not only me but lots of people are so ratio 1 too…..

    my answer is there.

The last sgrmp that had sanchita and diwakar and sameer one was awesome it was really good but this time sorry not my cup of tea i luv the kids and watch the show.

    Tnx

which kid do u think is going to win the competition and this is directed to all of the forum ppl?and plz say ur resons if possible.its a difficult choice but i do think that if aamir duz not forget his lyrics and gets beta at his singing then he has a strong chance provided the public is on his side.but the problem is that he duzent cum from a big backround like dehli, kolkata and bombay etc which could cause him problems in the vote so i urge the public to vote for him as his 1 of the veri best.

i hav to agree wid fulluvflava as the contestants this year arent as gud than abro, sanchita and aders.but i havent watched star so therefore i wont compare it to saregampa and at the same time im sure the kids will up their game due to public voting.public are very fickle voters and if they dont like u for sum reson besyds singing they can be heartless.may the best kid win

I really hope voice of india is better b/c this season’s lil champs is really not that great..i like the judges overall (well particularly sonuu) but I don’t think the kids are that good –> compare them to sanchita, abhro, sameer, pawni and they really have no chance.

    Sandipb,
LOL…I’d say reserve your comments until you hear them….I’ve heard them, and trust me, they are not even half as good as SRGMP L’il Champs.
There is only 1 or two good singers there - Aishwarya and Anwesha…..and STAR, like its earlier show, is promoting the two of them FULL ON…making them look the obvious winners. I wonder what the mental state of the other contestants would be?
Moreover, the show is in such a bad state due to absence of a good host and quality participants that you only feel pity for the show.
    My two cents :)

I do think that judges are comparatively strict with Smita and Anamika right from day one. However, I am very positive about it because from Sonu’s comments I have a feeling that they can see potentials in these girls and want to shine and polish them more towards perfection.
I too want to see Vasundhara in top 5.
My support for Loria not necessarily means that she has to be in top 4/5 but I think she could have been eleminated later.

I agree. :rose: Vasu is really GOOD, but not the best. She is one of the best. At this stage it will be very foolish to declare who is best as no one got consistent good comments from the judges. The judges praise Vasu because of her singing, not favoritism. As last Sat Sonuji said the she was lucky that she was not graded on her Palahare song. And she once sried because of a bad comment she got. Anyway… I like her and want to see her at least in top 5, along with Smita and Anamika. I think Judges are really strict with these 2 girls. What do you guys think:?:

vasuisthebest ….. please stop this childish thing of yours. ( you sound pathetic). Miss khera has said right words. She is not the best out of all, she is good not doubt but there better than her. Sonu and Suresh are favouring her thats the truth and now its in janta’s hands and lets see where it ends up to. I wish all of them best of luck i luv all the kids but than this is the competition.

But to be honest THIS TIME SVOI CHOTE USTAD HAVE MARVELOUS KIDS WITH MARVELOUS VOICE.

I am enjoying more of that than sgrmp.

Please vasuisthebest don’t linger this to long its not going to help u nor me .

lets hope everybody’s best participant wins

You need to learn how to except other peoples opinions. Just because you think vasundra is the best, that does not mean the whole world thinks that. Everyone has different views and opinion so come out of your illusion that everyone will to agree to what you say.

I do not think she is the best singer and that is my opnion. Welcome to the real world!!!!

    Guys,

Before u comment hear her Bumbaroo, Thera Mujse and Nache again. To put it in Suresh Wadekar’s words she has the quality of a professional singer. I am pretty sure that he is the best and he is unbiassed. Good for u people if u think u know more than Sonu and Sureshji put together. After all , each is entitled to his own illusions of Grandeur, but the best continues to be the best. There is no dispute on that.

Since everyone wants to keep talking about discrimination..I’m going to talk about Sat’s episode..I don’t know if it was just b/c the show was edited but it did not look like aditya, the judges, or anyone else handled the situation w/ Loria well–> what I mean to say is that neither of the judges really talked to her and they all seemed to go: well anyways I hope you’re done crying b/c we’re going to sing a song for Vasundara now…I don’t know- maybe I just saw it that way b/c I really didn’t want Loria to go. Speaking of discrimination, I think she has been discriminated against b/c the judges like to emphasize her flaws instead of her strenghts: like her beautifull voice and everything else. I don’t know- I didn’t think she sang every song the best she could but i honestly think she had one of the best voices. Isn’t that we want: good voice; not decent voices and good sur? I don’t know. That’s my 10 cents. = )

    Hey Hasy_Paki,
I think I should apologise to you, ‘coz I was the first one to respond to your comment. I got the impression that when you said “discrimination”, you meant discrimination along religious lines, and that pissed me off. My bad :rose:
I understand what you mean by saying that Aamir is a very young guy, and this embarassment might play with his psyche, and lower his morale. Point taken….I guess they could have avoided it on National television.
Anyway, let’s move on to other topics now.

I don’t know whose comment you referred to by saying “our country”. I have a phrase in my previous comment saying “our countries”. I hope you understood what I meant by that. I had deliberately used the plural form which clearly means “not one particiular country” (that I myself belong to).

Beingfair sorry for taking u as a “supportive agent…”

    But

When I was talking about “that matters—-> educational matters ” i meant to say that public usually doesn’t eat a bread contaminated with fungus mean that how can public make Aamir a celebrity/winner knowing him as sum type of “DECLARED ignorant” or his educational crisis and now plz don’t try to say that it is beneficial to him that now he wud got sympathetic votes……. b,coz in this case it wud be too much

I was already hesitate to comment on this site b,coz i have said it b4 that ppl here are ever ready to start a fight despite understanding the situation & information …what said by delhi girl, i’m not impressed b,coz she’s sum type of vigorous/energetic/bossy etc and i don’t wanna mess wid her—now plz don’t take it as an abusive/scurrilous language…..

    THNX SANDIPB FOR BEING NICE

    Beingfair

u may love music but i also do care abt the insult/vilification of ppl who r associated wid it i also don’t think that vascundra or any1 else is bad or sum1 getting sympathetic votes

I also want all of u to plz tell/discuss only ur favorites not unfavorites b,coz ONLY it can vitiate the atmosphere not sumone’s keen observation

But in Ammir’s case i still believe that damage has done to him in THE COMPETITION by this (I don’t want to use that word but what to do it best defines the situation) “DISCRIMINATION”

And if sumthing like realization of educational importance (”being in 5th grade”) to him was supposed to do then tht can also be done on back-stage……

He do study in New Holy Home School—-> i Don’t know if it is a chain school system or sum kind of Islamic institute (i.e MADRISSAH u know learning The Quran by heart) b,coz in tht case how he can be in the competition……

I would like any1 to plz share the info abt that school is it a chain school system or what sort of it is ???
    Thnx in advance :D

    Finally
Plz no Offense b,coz i can’t be harsh or bad to anyone b,coz i don’t know how to be…….

and also b,coz “someone” has even started the language like this “IN OUR COUNTRY”

Enjoy the show (i know how i am enjoying the show myself)

    Cheers :D

There have been occasions when Sonu and Sureshji have criticised her. Clean ur ears of all the wax. And Ms. Khera who thinks that Vasu is not the best, u suck big time

    Hi guys

I agree that some times it does feel like vasundra is getting favourtism but we should bare in mind that she is remarkably talented to have learnt to sing with her disability and i think this is probably what the judges see and understand. It is hard to learn to sing without vision and this little girl seems to do it exceptionally well.

I do not think she has the best voice but she certainly hasn’t got the worst voice either.

i liked loria but i think she ahs bright future ahead in other field than singing she can do way way better in other fields as she is brainy. There is nothing wrong to tell Aamir regarding his education. Education is very imporant in this world and Aamir khan gave him a little boost… I go with ms Khera. But somehow i think please please please don’t take me wrong please vasundra is getting more favorism i didn’t like her singing this week but she got no1 position i luv her dearly but she needs to be judged for her singing . Anamika was fabolous she should have beeen no1 .

Tanmay is my personal favourite i luv that kid.

    Hasy_Paki,

When I said these matters, I meant to say “Educational matters” and that’s what people think is more important for a child of this age (at least in our countries).

I do agree with Delhi_gurl…we should be careful while starting a conversation. Topics such as “discrimination” always creat unhealthy atmosphere. We all are here becasue we love music and we love to talk about music.

Also it’s the boys who win this compitition more often than girls! I haven’t seen any instance where people took a female voice sweeter than a male’s voice. Not even in ongoing li’l champs!

    Cum’on girl next…..

If u go harsh on sumone like that

then how can one be motivated rather he wud be
    depressed and down

Aamir isn’t in a mature age to understand that….
there are more chances for him to escape or depressed
and not to be motivated after that

Again…………..i’m not here to promote anyone or bias against female contestants

And delhi Girl and girl next door

After reading ur comments sumone sensible wud definitely see that by whom provocation is started
    i’m neither taunting u nor provoking u like u r doing b,coz
i didn’t say that vascundra, smita, anamika is bad or it was good that poonam was out.It was ur mind or sumthing like u urself evaluate it
    just after seeing……..(leave it)

I respect all women in the same manner as i do to those in my home so it is u urself who evaluate it that i hate girls or women.

I wish a very best of luck to all contestants including “GIRLS”

    See I told u…………

My comments about Rohit and Aamir doesn’t mean that I dislike all other contestants of course i like them equally what i just comment was an observation being an arbitrator or diplomatic.

I think only beingfair understood what i exactly meant to say…..If aamir isn’t getting any education (by the words used by Aaddi that “aamir likhna perhna nahi jantay”) then how he use to read his marks of Result and tht’s in english (when he told his marks 181 in eng)

So i Felt it as an unnecessarily indication by Aadi

    To Sandipb

I have nothing to say about girls winning this competition Obviously the best contestant would win…..I did comment like this just to emphasize that people usually took a female’s voice more sweeter or charming than a male’s voice but again its my own observation i neither urge anyone to agree wid me nor allow anyone to correct me…….sorry it is like that

    To MUsic Buff & miss_WHatever :)

I know my comments looks like as i am bias against Aaditya but i didn’t like the way it was pointed out by him I felt it wrong b,coz to me it was wrong u didn’t feel it so u ppl blew up…….I disliked the comments Not Aadi….

    To M_B

In the same manner, u thought that Rohit & Aamir should be in Bottom 3 i think that they performed better than Friday’s and Saturday’s performance of vibhore’s and Rohan’s.I still didn’t know it that on which base elimination is done.Friday’s or Saturday’s performance b,coz many a times a contestant performs well on Sat; but he’s there in bottom 3….

Discrimination is done in the sense as indicated by beingfair that public cares more about “that” matters rather than actual talents.I think there vil b a decreased public support for him after that…..

Obviously every1 has his own favorite contestant, I just felt the need to point out such thing to emphasize that plz vote for the right contestant, wasn’t trying to vitiate the atmosphere M_B !!!

    And plz no Offense Now…..

    Cheers

I fail to value the discrimination against Aamir. Why will some one discriminate him can some one please make it clear. What is the discrimination for? I think stuff like these provoke arguments only. One needs to be little more careful before starting an argument. Like if such argument turns nasty. As I have mention many times previously that many folks do not like girls so if a girl wins a contest some men can not digest this is the reason some statement like why girls should win comes in the form of discussion here.

Expression opinion is always welcome but to label some one sympathy votes should not accepted.

As per me Vasundra has the potential to be in top 4 or 5

I agree. Without any educational background no one can go much further. Although it was a little harsh on Ameer, I think that will motivate him to study to avoid this kind of situations. I mean if he had financial problems or something like that, then it is understood, but I think it is just his ignorance that he doesn’t study, which should not be taken lightly. He is a good singer (one of the best) and he should at least do his graduation.

I don’t understand why people are thinking that Sameer was discriminated. He made it to top 3. And why is there a problem with a girl winning the competetion? Because of people with this kind of mentality a very good singer like Poonam was eliminated.

Anyway… although all the kids are very good singer, I believe Smita and Anamika should be in top 3. And HATS OFF to Tanmoy. Without any formal training he is sooo good. I just love him. However, I don’t think he will go much further as he is competing with very strong singers with classical backgrounds.

    Hi Hasi paki

I do not think there is any discrimination going on. The fact that Adi mentioned that Aamir does not study well may be a good thing for him as he has now had encouragement from Aamir Khan about how the improtance of studying, which is true. Sometimes when someone outside gives you the same advice that you have been getting from your family and friends, you take more notice and it helps and we hope in this case it helps Aamir as education is vital.

    Hi Hasy_Paki,
Do you have anything against girls winning the competition?
The deserving candidate should win may it be a boy or a girl!
Don’t you think that’s the way it should be?

    Hasi_Paky,
I am appalled by reading your comments. Please don’t give it a communal angle. Aamir is a very good singer and has been appreciated for that by both the judges. Don’t try to suggest that they (or Aditya) are biased against him.
As far as Friday’s performances go, Aamir and Rohit deserved to be in bottom three.
And Sameer Mohammed was also not discriminated against. Sanchita was better of the three, and deserved the crown.
Request you not to vitiate the atmosphere of this forum by suggesting communal bias. :rose:

hi all! am new to forum but very old watcher of sa re ga ma… i would like to make a wild guess regards the winner of lil champs… it would be smitha(both looks and talent!).vasundhara and punjabi papa wil go til last round..its all being stage set up for sms s to flow til tha last minute… I also feel that smithas dress on saturday was a little adult like(u al know wat i mean). i feel vasundhara though visually challenged, has got
an above average voice… so her retainment til now is justified. any ways the show is more enjoyable becoz of all these issues.. no?

    Dear Smita,
You did a great job today :cake: . Don’t worry even if you never got in top three. The judges know your potential and that’s why they strictly evaluate you. Hope you take their feedback positively and keep honing your skills untill you find yourself as one among the finest singers! :rose:

For Amir, I think they did not need to highlight his education part in public. I definately won’t interpret it as a discrimination (as someone pointed out in this forum, no offense please!) from a single instance. But I do think that Zee should capitalize on the positive points rather than the negative ones. Because public usually gets carried away by these matters more than actual talents.

Finally…..Hey the result of last episode was just infinitely Horrible I mean Rohit And Aamir in the bottom three?Come on

I gave this comments being diplomatic and wid logic so please don’t take it as I’m promoting them..

Firstly i wanna say that I don’t want to make my comment controversial but i can’t prevent myself from saying that Aamir is discriminated again & again in airing time and sumtimes in giving grades except sonu who cares.(I also didn’t like adatiya’s mentioning that he doesn’t study especially words cum on u r lowering his morale :-( ) Such a good singer (the most powerful voice in boys) is treated like that is awful. The only fault is that he forgets lyrics so plz don’t make he’s only fault to his big fault…..I urge all u locals of india to at least vote for the rite person. He shouldn’t be treated like Sameer Mohammad was (Look his modesty he was so happy to be at 3) Why there’s always a girl winning this competition…Vibhor’s voice cause a head ache he is just in competition b,coz of his looks cum on It isn’t a beauty competition and Rohit n Aamir are far better singer than him.So please vote for them at least v overseas can’t vote like that u people can………….

And sorry if anybody felt it I know i Shouldn’t be but yahan ka record kuch acha nahi :D

although it is sad  , but it was the right decision by the judges. Loria was not up to her potential. I am also worried about the public voting… as we saw some unfair choices made by public in Challege 2007.

may the best kid win thru public voting.i urge the public to not vote out of symapathy as u guys arent doin urselves any favour when that winner is gona be sellin his album and no1 buys.jus a point for urll to think abt.all i want is for the best kid to win.if vasundara gets out of her wherewolf singing and sings ot of her mind then i shall definately get credit cos im not against her and any1 as its wrong to go against their physical disabilities.
