aha…Vasundhara is finally gone.. And it clearly showed Sonu nigam desperately wanted her in top 3. He says “first time audience made a mistake by voting her out”… hilarious….He doesn’t deserve to be a judge.

I luv Anamika’s voice. What she did was a little childish but isn’t she a child? I think there are other competitors who are getting sympathy votes and anamika doesn’t need them. Also, I feel the saregamapa shouldn’t be getting into personal details of the participants as that would open the scope of voting based on factors not related to their singing ability.

I am not sure if it is just me or if there are other people out there who think vasundhara is being favoured by both the judges, especially sonu nigam. It was very clear this weekend when sonu nigam decided not to have an elimination when vasundhara was in the bottom 2. I rarely heard sonu nigam or suresh wadkar finding faults in vasundhara’s songs. or is she really flaw less?

I have some news….Looks like we are going to have the same team of mentors (ID, HR, VS, BL) in Challenge 2008. They are currently mentors on SRGMP Middle-East & Pakistan show where they are choosing contestants for the Indian version. I read it in a newspaper.

first of all hello to beingfair and musicbuff..enjoyed ur comments and your dignified fighting (u guys never use bad language and thats why i respect you guys - and both of u always try to see what the other person is saying and both of you never back down from an aplogy if you think its warranted…so thank you for maintaining some dignity in the forum…:) hugzz)

just some statements…interprate it as you like [whispers : dishum dishum ;)]

i am a punjabi sikh gal from malaysia (just giving u guys a background…cos some ppl here enjoy making statements on race..so analyse my comments and tell me what u think…am i biased? am i a dog-gone-racist?…am i just some1 who has an opinion and not an agenda (like promoting punjabi’s and influencing votes :), and bashing other contestants)?…. )

…my favorite contestants are amir and (barbie- i know she is not around but i liked her very much)… i want amir to win becoz i think he has the most potential to improve and become even better than he is plus i LOVE LOVE LOVE his voice

i like rohan’s voice very much (like i said before his voice is like “amrit” there is a purity in it)…
i think tanmay is a better performer than amir and rohan (not voice, just stage performance)- and in the first few rounds my fav was actually tanmay cos his cuteness really appealed to me…however as time went by and he decided to take marketing seriously … the cuteness wore off and i started listening to him more carefully… what i noticed was…he is a genuinely good entertainer, he keeps his sur very well but his voice was getting on my nerves, however i love his accent and the way he talks…even though i know zee scripts most of his nonesense ..he can still make me laugh…unlike vaishali who was very very irritating)

i dont like vasu, loriya and vaishali (cos of their voices - however i think vasu has very very good control she rarely makes any mistakes in her singing)i did not like loriya at all from beginning till end..all three of them have talent no denying that BUT i dont fancy their voices…vaishali had her good days but she was cearly out of her league… now before some of u think i am bashing these girls read my statements properly…if u still have an issue…well then bring it on :)i just have to warn you that i will be nice, polite, witty and brutally honest - so u will not get the usual dirt and tamasha answers from me hehehehheheh

i did not like anamika in the beginning but she started to grow on me as time went by..
i always adored smita - she was cool and different - and i have very very high respect for a child that took all that shit from sonu and suresh and always maintained dignified

i think rohit, sayon and sahil had very good voices (rohit the better singer of the three and sahil the best voice of the three) - however they did not make much of an impression on me - why? i cant explain it - week after week i was more impressed with amir (even though he made many mistakes with remembering the lines) i just found amir’s voice more appealing…

my favorites in the initial stages were Barbie and Vibhore - loved barbie’s voice (felt she was harshly punished for having a very bad case of nerves and tension)..

loved vibhore for the person that he is… i think i have a small tiny eensy weensy crush on him cradle snatcher vibhore has star quality (not the irritating type like vaishali but a much more appealing star quality) and another thing that endeared vibhore to me was he always was the first to try and comfort another participant…he always had a hug…

so i like for singing/voice : amir, rohan,anamika,smita, barbie, sahil,rohit

i like for attitude :vibhore, tanmay,smita

i dislike the voices of (this is not a reflection of their talent but a reflection of my taste in music ) : vasu, vaishali, loriya,….and tanmay (his voice is getting me irritated recently)

ok thats my two cents worth..make what u will of it… and i have joined karate classes…so with my boxing gloves i now kick as well ;)haiyaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh

May be you have the same reasons for that as well.
btw, when Anamika cannot be so smart at 12 and a half, how can Amir be at 10?

I don’t have no reason to lie. You can go back to the very initial episode reviews/videos comments section and see for yourself that I have said that girls are way ahead of guys in this competition, and that my favourites are Anamika, Smita followed by Rohit and Aamir.
If you like someone’s singing, it doesn’t mean you’d turn blind to everything that person does, however bad it is.

We try to act as the gardian angle of these kids. Ins’t it funny and laughable. We all try to bash each otehr here while the real participant have no clue. I never knew I need some permission for some one to express my opinion for this board. Some one decides what I will write and what not. If I do not favor a participant then there is a issue. Wow that is some great news.

I don’t care about you f you think that my comments are not worth don’t read them I don’t write for you or to make you feel good. I write what I want to I don’t stop you to say anything and in my kind of world it applies to me too.

Only request I have for you be careful when you write something against me as I never write against you.

Now What Anamika did was not wrong to understand her feeling we really need to love our parents to an extend that we try to understand what action may make them happy or worry.

Yes it can be argued that she knew what she was getting into but she may not be aware the after effect consequences we all have face similar situations and we all have tired to step back many time we are successful many times we wont.

About Aamir I never said he should not win this competition or he is not good. I only said the way his family projected him was not fare.

Anamika is a great singer and I support her that do not mean I do not support Aamir or I support him …

First of all, Aamir has never been my favourite…well may be 3rd fav. (if that counts)after Anamika and Smita ….I have been saying this since the beginning of Little Champs. So your allegation is wrong.
Now coming to your second point, Shari… was attacked by all and sundry for whatever he said. I did not feel it necessary for me also to join the fray, although I did have some tiffs with him in the past.
What amuses me is when some others get away with comments carrying a hidden communal agenda just because they belong to our own community…duh!

Let me tell u earlier that i’m not supporting glass-slippers but to present my own thoughts

It always b,coz of sum ppl that some regular members like Music_buff don’t dare to comment on already going battle. (Hey M_B i’m not proving u a coward)

It is said that ” common sense is a sense which is not common ” but i believe everybody has some grains of it so plz try to use that

It isn’t hidden fact that v somehow know each other’s fav so y should give such annoying comments e.g Anamika Whatever she did……is now a helping teaser for any1 who doesn’t like her but his blind fans wouldn’t care about it and will do everything to disprove this so far called dramaturgy.

What i hated the most about this topic that some ppl started grouping and they crossed every limit to prove them right.I don’t want to prove that So plz don’t ask…but it looked me awful that some members r thus so bashed for a lil misunderstanding

Here every1 demands that ” Hey I’m sitting here Worship me” Can’t u ppl take a chill pill….

If you don’t find any difference between glass_slippers and delhi_gurl, may I ask you why you chose to fight with glass_slippers, but not with delhi_gurl?

Now I’ll tell you what difference I find. glass_slippers is relatively new to this forum and one might not be able to judge her so early, but delhi_gurl has been here for a long long time (since the days of C-2007), and I very well know how biased how views are, and for what reasons. Peace!

We just voiced our individual opinions! That doesn’t change my perceptions about you in general.

Regarding the HKB79’s last question -

The best hosts in SRGMP so far are Aditya and Sonu. I saw the old DVDs of Sonu’s hosting. He was so humble that time!
I am not a big fan of Shaan. I don’t enjoy his songs either.
Aditya gels well with both the age groups (adults and kids). He is superb! Also very cute.

By the way Anamika rocks!!!

hkb79…so glad you asked!!…I think Adi is both c & d. He is sooo irritating and probably moree fake. He doesn’t even seem like a sweet person…maybe it’s just that he’s not a good actor and he hasn’t gotten a hang of the hosting business but even Abhas (who started hosting AFTER adi) is doing a better job in my opinion.

I will give Adi that he is a good singer and I used to think he was good looking but after a personality like that….

winner : girl : anamika

judges : sonu better but generally both are good

dream finale : anamika, amir and third choice tie between vasu, tanmay and rohan

generally everyone thinks anamika is the best… thats good cos i think she is preeeeetyyyyyyy good too…however i hope against hope that amir wins…he has the best voice but not the best technical abilities…which is something that can be corrected with proper training and practice

May be she is 12 and 1/2. I personally feel that she should not have done that. She is the best singer and she should be listening her mother. This is a common problem among the kids of these days. They think that whatever they think is the best. It is the our responsibility to teach and explain them to tell the correct thing. Instead, many of us are kind of encouraging her act. This is unfortunate. She is a kid. Please do not encourage her silly behavior. She might do the similar act once again which will be harmful to her.

@Beingfair - don’t take me wrong. I said that she should be eliminated just because I wanted to her to learn that only talent cannot take her to the top. She needs to be careful and responsible enough for her behavior. She should learn that the whole world is watching her. It is not her home and she can’t do anything she wants. If she realizes it, it will be helpful for her only. I admire her talent and voice and I commented that because I do care about her talent. Nothing else.

After reading many of the reamers it sounds like most of the contributors are not happy with what Anamika did.. Let me try to understand that means you folks are trying to say at the age of 12 ½ she is so smart that she took the advantage of Smita’s dad health to her benefit. Wow that means she is really an opportunist at that age. She knows how to play her cards she is smart and cunning. ….

Or let us look at the other side of the same coin
She is naïve and may be really very close to her DAD and loves her dad. We all know many times girls are close to DADs as boys are close to MOM at that age. So really she is very close to her DAD and she is genuinely worried about her DAD and she took the bold step.

Yes she was not listing to the judges but those judges are not any one to know the bond between her dad and her. Mother was the only person she refused to listen at that time. May be she is so much worried and tensed after Smita’s DAD news that she was not able to think straight.

We all many times come across such news where we also can not think logically and make mistakes.
She was just trying to put herself in the shoes of Smita and analysis things from her view.

Remember what she said that the expectation of our Parents are so high and if we are not able to come up to there expectation they are so much moved by it.

Give this kid a credit.

I think the top 3 will be Anamika / Vasundra and Tanmay this is my choice

Sometimes Sonu tends to exceed his limits in terms of mimicking! I too didn’t like that Smita case!!!
I still feel sorry for Smita! She hardly ever got a good feedback! Smita should have been in top 3/4 atleast.

Both the judges are good.. but sometimes I dont find their judgement good enough.. The way Sonu used to mimick Smita.. how she sang.. it sounded quite rude..

Top 2 : Anamika and Amir.

3rd: Not sure. May be Rohanpreet because many people don’t seem to like Vasundhara’a voice texture. As a performer Rohanpreet probably is a bit better.

Judges: I think they both are good…after watching the last year’s episodes.

If she truly wanted to QUIT the show…she should not have showed up and sang halfway…. She’s very manipulative. I hope she gets voted out the NEXT round.

Where exactly have I mentioned that “the comments in this forum will influence public voting - i only said what i or the others mention in the forum will have no weightage on public voting, people can decide for themselves alright. Common This website is not the CNN or BBC news channel..

Hey guys Chill,

I think the whole thing was staged managed coz some paper carried this article about Smita’s dad. So Zee wanted the public to know and they just did it through Anamika.Tanmay is too small to act, Vasu is a bit too serious, Rohanpreet jolly go lucky and Amir would forget the lines of the script therefore their choice was Anamika. Can’t blame the girl. This is just my guess. All of you r in a mood to explode. Spare me.

I’m punjabi too but I do like Rohanpreet, he always sings punjabi songs. Watched all the episds and 90% of his songs are in Punjabi.
Rohan, Sahil, Vibhore were good. Smita and Animica have mature voice. Tanmay play safe but know how to sing along a beat. Vaishaliee is a water she should not be there wasting time. She merely shout. I like only song of Vaishalee ”Hungama ho gaya” rest all were boring. Barbie is a rock chick , I like here deep voice quality.

I wish I can speak good hindi like all of you. I was born outside India and is improving my hindi by watching Hindi moves and listening to Hindi songs. I like all these kids. I have no understading of songs but can figure it out when they sings well.

Have you noticed Rohanpreet always sings punjabi songs!Even on 26th he has chosen a song with punjabi touch. He got a good voice but I’m afraid he is not a vers singer. Vasundhara and Anamica have good playback voice. Three cheers to Amir and Tanmay for scoring a song with Vishal ans Shekar.
Sahil Solanki should have been here as well .He is a talented kid
I have watched Star Voice of india and like some of the kids esp ashwariya and anwesha

So You guys actually think you’re tough and real smart cookies is it. Don’t you people know about the beauty of freedom of speech where everybody has right to express their opinion. Everyone views issues from a different perspective…. I guess some people just don’t feel the same way as u do. WE have different mindsets so before you lash out at others… remember that at the end of the day this is a debate/discussion.

Now common Miss …..You’re being biased and contradictory, aren’t you? On one hand you talk about how Anamika’s actions shouldn’t be scrutinized etc …but then you bring in Rohanpreet. I know for a fact that some of the most talented singers have not won in these competitions e.g. SARAGAMAPA look at what happened to Amanat Ali and Mussharaf …. Ahhh the perils of having bazillions of indian voters. I’m a foreigner and my favorite little champs are Rohanpreet and Amir who coincidentally are a punjabi and a muslim respectively. And Ausfan you of all people accuse me for being a “racist” bcoz I use the word Insyaallah… you must be Hindu fanatic..

My perspective was: A twisted plot to get even more sympathy votes so that her fans think that she shouldn’t be voted out or else “her dad will have a heart attack too”. If Anamika truly wanted to quit she shouldn’t have turned up at all…and sang halfway. Smitha was also close to the other contestants as well…but none had reacted like Anamika.

Ha Ha HA …And that pathetic SonuNig was asking Anamika what grades she should be given. Where is the respect and values of the judges?
Shame on ZeeTV for encouraging the use manipulative tactics, dramas etc on a talent show for kids. These children should be kept away from monetary benefits as it creates unhealthy competition. How can the Indians encourage this sort of behaviour?

So do enjoy your constructive discussions…after all you guys claim to the best brains in this Indian forum.

goodnesssss… being fair i suggest your ignore glass slippers…she is rude and loves attacking ppl…HRFAN has been polite in all his post and she attacked him for being sharib (even though we have all dropped the subject), then she attacked you… and ausfan (but he kinda made it worse with his comments..he should have ignored her as well)….
and anyway its silly of glass to tell ppl “dont influence voting with your comments..” i mean how many ppl read our comments and get influenced :)…we write cos we are affected by the show and we want to share our feelings… plus my dear being fair, u and i both know that its super duper silly to want ppl to vote out some1 based on their personal behaviour on a singing show rather than vote on the basis of talent…so my dear dont even bother explaining to ppl that cos some ppl are just head strong and dont like it when ppl contradict their statements… they dont believe in opinion sharing

so lets send a open letter to zee (on behalf of all the ppl who think we should vote off anamika cos she attempted (rather shamefully) to manipulate public votes) that pls change this contest from just a singing contest to a singing and moral fibre contest… then we can vote off ppl who do tamasha, nautanki and drama hows that for a brainwave ? hahhahahah… sorry i know that was rather sarcastic but sometimes i think ppl forget we are watching a singing talent contest… if zee wants to do tamasha let them… we should vote only on the basis of talent…

and lastly pls dont forget they are JUST KIDS who want to WIN… imagine yourself in a competition that u really wanted to win… would u not do EVERYTHING possible to win?

for example in a beauty contest dont the contestant do plastic surgery or dental surgery to look the best and win… do we condemn sushmita and aish for that? no! we are proud they won right? only diff is their manipulation was more subtle…

If you don’t have a good rational about someone’s point don’t address that person’s name on the post. And don’t use the word “racist” in trivial context. You know what racist means? It’s a stereotype for ethnicity (like,Asian, African America,Caucasuian, etc.) Ethnicity is different from being Punjabi, Bengali or Marathi.
Come on talk like an educated person. Being Panjabi has nothing to do with Amanat’s talents. His is a great singer it doesn’t need any futher explanation.
Glass_slippers have I told ever told anyone in this forum to vote for Anamika? Don’t lie just for the sake of winning an arguement.

I totaly afree with Ausfan and beingfair, Glass_slipper has always been racist. 1- here you are giving your opinion on Kids, don’t forget they are just kids and this is a talent show. useless comments like you won’t make Rohanpreet or your fav’s win
2- Yes I have noticed that you are favouring only punjabi and muslims contestants. Plesse note this is not a religious show where you can vote of a contestant from your religion or some one who speaks your language

She made a mistake which is absolutely not connected to singing talent. Whatever you say your points do not justify the fact that she should be eliminated.
Here people are looking for singing talents who can sing songs in Bollywood. People don’t care what mistake one did and who left the show etc. Do you remember Himani? How she wanted to quick. Does Bollywood remember it today? She is probably most popular than others of her time.
Well judges - Sonu and Suresh themselves left the show once setting a nice example for these kids!!!
If adults can behave like that…Anamika is a kid in front of them.
She definately did a wrong thing but that doesn’t justify her elimination and “join next years show.

Well yeah! Her elimination in this series is justified in one way…she is being a threat to others.

Whatever…may be she is the best (I agree that she is the best singer) but for a girl of 12 and half year old, it does not look good that she does not care about her mother who was begging to continue. Judges like Sonu and Suresh Wadkar were requesting her to listen to them properly. I know that age is something where the boyz and girls do not have correct understanding and maturity. But she should know that the whole world is watching her. Everyone loves their parents. But that act was ridiculous and stupid. I am afraid she might loose votes because of this. She should listen to her mother and the judges. She should understand that most of the people in the set understand better than her. It was irritating…and her father could have been sick by seeing that she is quitting…what a shame…what does she think of herself? It is good that she came back…but I wish she should gets eliminated and come back next year after being bit more mature and more sensitive.
