ANAMIKA!!! What was the girl thinking? In order to prevent my dad from getting a heartattack when/if I get eliminated, I’m going to speed up the process by quiting right now??? Now she deserves to be kicked out for being so foolish. It all seems like a conspiracy to gain viewer sympathy and, in turn, votes; otherwise, why would she have sang 99% of the song? (if you’re gonna quit, why even bother showing up???). Before this behavior, I thought she was well qualified and sang fairly well, but now I believe her actions demonstrate that she is not a team player, lacks confidence and personality. I will NOT vote for her. Amir Hafiz is the shining star as many have said repeatedly…best of luck Amir!!!

    hkb79,

I don’t think the judges are considering the age factor in their evaluations as majority of them are pretty much of the same age group. The girls look more matured because they mature faster than boys untill adolescence. I think the judges can see stronger potentials in some of them that’s why they are being too critical with them. But then that is nothing but incocnsistent grading which leads to a situation like “rich becomes richer and poor becomes poorer”.
This whole issue is like bright kids being recognized as “gifted and telented group” in school (specially in the US)are given the difficult classwork(stricter evaluations) and rest being given the regular work. It’s always a controversial issue in schools in the US.

But when it comes to public voting, personality, self-presentation, marketting, regionalism, sympathy, etc. matter a lot. I think you also said that in one of your comments. Or else how did Mussarat and Sumedha leave before Mouly?
We can expect anything from now onwards.
Therefore I think judges evaluations are always better than public. The probability of error due to biasness is much lower in case of judges’ evaluations compared to public.
That’s why I always like the old format of SRGMP. Because as a layman I don’t even trust my own evaluation. I cannot say I am 100% free from biasness.

yeah man i have to agree that the judging is very inconsistent between contestants…

it is unfair and very unprofessional… i think that if they are giving smita and anamika so much of slack for being older than they should do the same with rohanpreet…

unless… the judges like his personality more and that’s why there is this bias… what do you think? do you think the judge’s personal feelings are getting in the way of their professional duty?

  28. beingfair on December 26th, 2007 9:35 am

    lilgirlieee,
They haven’t given the age of the kids in the website. But for some kids they have given their standards. So from that one can make out.Vaishali is the youngest (5th grader). Rest are mostly from 6th and 7th grade. Tanmay is in 6th grade. Since everyone calls him “choturam” I thought he will be way younger than the rest.
If you scroll down and click on the names of the contestants, you will find some information about them.

Also I want to add to hkb79 that if they are judging based on age, then Rohanpreet is as old as Anamika and Smita. Then why are the latter two measured with different yardsticks?
They are at times too linient with regards to some other kids!

I think Sonu gave very fair comments to all contestants in this episode. However, I feel Suresh Wadkar is over-critical of Smita, Anamika and sometimes Aamir too. Probably because he expects extra-ordinary from them?? But I dont think it is fair to them, ‘coz then he should judge other contestants on the same parameters. There cannot be different yardsticks for different contestants.

oh god…another few more weeks of vaishali? the thing is that kid is really good at manipulating the judges and the public… we have to give her that…she entertains well…but i really dislike her begging and singing…

as for sahil…im really glad…the judges made a huge mistake when they let him go the 1st time. he is a genuine singer…unfortunately he is not a lime light seeker…you can see that he is shy and an introvert… judges were unfair the 1st time… i hope that they can accept him as he is and not try to make him into a vaishali

realllllly sad barbie did not make it…her voice is different (and thats something good) she may not be as polished as the others but she could have benefitted from being on the show longer…

I agree with beingfair and vasuisthebest
Loria sang the best in the wildcard episode along with sahil…..loria was good before she got out also it was just because of her bad throat that she had all the time
whereas vaishali always got more marks inspite of her bad singing because of her ‘thoda aur’ and the judges always gave her more just cuz she was small.
Loria should have come instead of vaishali
even barbie sang better than vaishali in the wildcard episode

    Hey,

i really enjoyed Vasundhara and Vibhore’s performance. Mind Blowing! But i was kinda shocked that Loria did not make her comeback after such brilliant performances. I feel Sonu and Sureshji shouldn’t have walked out leaving guest Richa Sharma behind. That doesn’t speak well of cultured people like them. Anyways Richa handled it well and she was good fun on the show.

Leaving the show in between shows the immaturity among the juidges. They should be selected to judge a local show not a show like SRGMP. One need to be matured and sensable to judge a show and able to reply to the public remarks with grace. Not like the way these judges behave. I am really not happy the way Sonu anjd Sudesh replied to the public. They alwasy forget because of we public they are famos. But they start to talk against the public. Yes this is a business Sonu is a business man and ZEE is also a business unit…. let us get real and not ficitcious like the movies of Yash Chopra always takes us to a dream world …

And only today Zee clearly said that one vote from one computer( IP address) is valid ( which I said in the previous show).
I know that in the previous show lot of people spent hours after hours SENDING VOTES OVER THE INTERNET TO THEIR FAVOURITE CONTESTANTS.
Unfortunately, they wasted their time totally!

I do not think Sonu or any singer ca n say anyitng to the public. They need to know or learn how to behave. Loria’s dad is correct and Loria is deserving but Zee decided otherwise. The way Sonu said was wrong.
We blame public all the time but the real culprit is the judges and Zee TV. This is wrong in the part of Zee nad the judges.

Here is the proof how biased public may become!
Is Vaishalibetter than Loria? Vaishali kept on getting higher grades by “aur thoda”- ing all the time.
People think Loria is already a ginius in studies so gaane mein phir kyo expert banna hai? This is our mentatlity!!! If it was Sagar instead of Vaishali..I would said ok.
    Public likes “nautanki”.
I am really surprised by Judges’ reaction :!: What made them react like that ??? leave the show halfway? Did anyone blame them?
The whole episode was irritating for me!!!
Only good thing happened in the show was SAhil’s come-back.

I agree with you lilgirlieee to some extent.

Zee switched over from old format to this new public voting format only to earn money and they know very well that people will vote based on regionalism, money power and other things!
Loria’s father said the truth, that he spent Rs. 70000 on SMS.
    Others did not speak.
We know from II2 that a few extremely rich people rented a school and hired quite a number of school children and made them vote for Sandeep Acharya continously so that he wins. And it worked.
In II3 we know that Nepal king had spent enormous amount of money to send people to Darjeeling and vote for Prashant Tamang over the weekends. And Prashant won!
Its a huge money prize and the fame and being famous is there!
So who knows to what extent the parents will go?

I agree with all of you. Honestly now that the show has progressed so far, and it’s getting more intense, we’ve realized that every single kid, even those who’ve got eliminated (like sagar) have SO much potential and talent. Now that we’ve all seen the talent aspect of the show, I think that we’re focusing on other issues, like how some people are doing this for money, and other people (like loria’s father) are doing it for their kids. It just shows how everyone’s intentions on this show are all different.

I agree with sandip da and beingfiar.

There is nothing to that Lorai do not understand. She is what like 12 years. So for her who has passed 12th standard do understand business. She is getting ready for her collage. We can easily say she is grown up girl as per maturity is concern.

Now Suno should not have got agitated he himself is doing this show for money and only money the little champ winner will also get money and the entire thing is for money. So when money is the center part why not to acknowledge it. Sonu was wrong to say like that. Loria’s father knew her daughter had the potential and capabilities to be a good performer and he is trying hard to push her and he is honest he admitted that. This shows the real Sonu and not the sweet version of him as he likes to present himself.

Sandip I undersand your point.. of being a business Deal.. but I dont think it is a good thing for parents to teach their kids at this tender age about such tactics.. That he spent 70,000 RS. for SMS.. and all is just plain wrong.. Obviously parents will vote for their kids but to this extent??? If you consider 1 SMS at Rs. 3… then he himself sent her 23,333.. votes to Loria out of 64,000 something she got.. and few votes via Internet.. In that case.. very few people voted for Loria..

Now obviously we dont know how many votes other parents sent..

So many external factors….stage fear, presentation, expression, pressure to meet the expectations, etc. are involved…it’s difficult for the kids of this age to cope up with every aspect!!!

Loria’s father said the harsh truth, it IS a business deal for Zee tv. He admitted that he spent so much momey for voting Loria, other parents did not admit!
And why the judges are always so harsh on Anamika and Smita?

i feel so bad for Sagar. I really love this show but lately I’ve been getting a feeling of dread every time I waatch it because the kids are getting SO much pressure on them, and they shouldn’t be going through that. It’s hrrible to make them feel all that anxiety and pain at only 8-14 years old. I do no think it’s fair and the judges should relieve pressure on the kids, or they’re all going to break down from the pressure being heavily placed on them to do better and better. they are all outstanding perfermers, so why can’t the juges tell them that? Most people can’t sing half as good as these kids, yet we crticize them. It’s too much, and I think we should do something about it.
