Hi beingfair,
Im really glad that you understood the gravity of the situation, and people like you(who are very rare indeed) only make me feel that ’still, there is hope’!
Its very sad that common people are not aware as to how to set their priorities right. Our first priority should be social welfare, and currently we can achieve it only by spreading the knowledge and awareness we have. And I pointed out the facts only because the topic of ‘Muslim-minority’ was raised and only bullsh*t was being said like ‘Muslims are always discrimininated against, in India’! Maybe some people felt that ‘its better to let them continue to speak all that, its better to keep quite, its better to not interfere if people are getting brainwashed, but its not good to spoil the forum’!
Very unfortunate, isnt it!

No MusicBuff, I don’t think her comments are vitiating the atmosphere if you compare with some other comments (in the past)who come up with real “funda…list attitude”.
Of course it is not a topic of music talents but I have seen many ugly, biased and religion-based comments in this site which actually vitiate the atmosphere and many a times we all keep quiet and just watch.
At least I appreciate her Global worldview.

Dear beingfair,
I do not disagree with Tisha nor do I doubt her intentions. All I am saying is that probably having discussion of this nature here would further vitiate the atmosphere, which will defeat the whole purpose. Again, personally, I don’t think this is the right place to do it. I’m sure even the admin of this site would object to it. Don’t u think so?

Tisha,
I can understand what you mean and I am with you.
Hi Hkb79 and MusicBuff, what ever you are pointing out to Tisha is right but at least what she says makes sense.

The main issue is that the judges do not respect (or do not care about) the public vote or a set format. In sharp contrast, last season, Chris Daughtry, a favorite of all the ‘American Idol’ judges - particularly Simon, was voted out. The judges’ jaws dropped, but they did not suddenly change the rules mid-stream and save him! Chris is now a very successful recording artist and Amir has all the potential to be one too!
That said, Amir’s brother did him a big disfavor by making a scene. His father compounded it! Amir himself appeared very uncomfortable with all that and was begging his brother to stop it through actions. Let’s hope that his future is not affected by all these. He’s a terrific singer. He did not do particularly well the last couple of weeks. I’m an American who has been singing Indian classical music for a long time. I can tell you that with some competent coaching, Amir will blow away people! I did not see glaring gaps in his singing, certainly none that can’t be improved.
I agree with all the comments about Tanmay and his “Gleam Cream” nonsense. It was funny initially, but the judges should realize that people frequently vote with their emotions and they should have cut him off, as he was getting an unfair amount of face time, with his cutesy junk. He is nevertheless a very entertaining performer, though with serious gaps in repertoire, especially in classical music and in Indian music, it is a major factor, even in these days of “Westernized” neither-here-nor-there-in-between mess:-))
Saregamapa is a very good show run totally unprofessionally. Aditya appears to be in awe of the judges, forgetting that he is the MC and has control over the show. His confounded and confused look at the judges, whenever something unexpected or untoward happens in the show reveals a lack of mental strength. This was glaring when Anamika announced her withdrawal and when Amir’s brother wanted to interrupt Aditya with his rant.
I will continue to watch the show, simply because I watch it to listen to kids and don’t particularly care for either Suresh Wadkar or Sonu Nigam’s biased behavior.

How “TYPICAL” of you guys! Not that I had hoped for anything MORE, because I know, the typical moderate Indian public is hopelessly dormant and submissive. Why else do you think the extremists can so easily manipulate with the minds of people!

Dear Tisha,
I am sorry if i offend you. But dear this is a music forum..where we discuss music and musicians and reality shows and contestants and judges and host and drama and singing..and… u get the picture?
what you have to say is very important…however you have chosen the wrong forum…
good luck in spreading your message…dont let anyone slow you down…find a way to get to the grassroots with your message..

Tisha,
I commend you for your noble thoughts and intensions, but highly doubt that it would have the desired effect.
Personally, I dont feel that this is the right forum to discuss religious/social issues. It would help if we restrict our discussions to purely music.
Anyway, I’d wish u best of luck for your endeavour.

Moiz Ali,
You are absolutely right!
When Sureshji says “fantastic” he gives A.
When he says “nice” he gives A+!!!

Musicbuff, see this is the problem with the public. You people give so much importance to all these reality tv shows, and public voting and who wins these shows and who takes away all the money! Are these SILLY things more important, or are the social issues raised by the shows more important?
For you the entertainment given by the show, and those 3-4 kids are more important. But for me and people like me, the most important thing is - for the masses to get the right kind of message by sensible interpretation of such popular examples, and hence spreading the right kind of awareness and improving 100s of lives!
I am a Muslim in reality! And I dont want to miss this opportunity Im getting, by keeping this show as an example and telling my fellow Muslims that “Self-pity, screaming ‘discrimination’ for selfish reasons, pointing fingers at others when we fail.. all these things are a set-back for not only Muslims, but for the whole on India. Stop doing this right now! And please dont get carried away by what some stupid fanatics say!”
This message reaching to maximum people is what is important to me, more important than who wins saregamapa or indian idol or whatever CRAP! So musicbuff, maybe you fail to see what good can be done by ‘prolonging’ the matter, but I get the satisfaction that a sensible message is spread to all the people reading this!
My appeal to PUBLIC - Please dont think that your responsibilities are limited to voting for you favourite contestant in any tv show! Your REAL responsibility is to clean up this society by washing away all the stupidity, ignorance and hatredness. And also to make this world a better place! The first priority in each and every mind at each and every second should be, what can I do now to improve this country, and NOT who will win which TV show!

Suresh once again has graded the contests wrong… as an American viewer. Zee TV needs to find another judge. Animika in the Valentines day show sang so well she deserved an A+, and Rohan as well sang excellent honestly I watch this show, and I may not be a singer ,but I am not tone deaf. Suresh needs to go back to his own school, because these kids are rocking. Please replace him, he is getting too old for this job, and he is a downer in the show.

In my opinion, Amir is a very good singer, but so are Tanmay, Anamika and Rohanpreet. All of them are really really good. But all three cant come FIRST. Someone had to go, and it just happened to be Amir. Cant help it at all. Its just a coincidence that Amir is a Muslim.
And one more thing guys, last year in Saregamapa little Champs, do you know who were the top three winners?
1)Sanchita
2)Sameer
3)Diwakar
SAMEER IS A MUSLIM KID

Why Amir Lost?
Its a crazy cycle! In the begining, Amir’s family where satisfied with how things were moving, and like all other parents in the competition, they loved all the kids and were happy ((thats why 2 weeks back they said they dont mind if the elimination is postponed and the kids stayed for a little more time)) UNTIL, they went to their village and got their minds and hearts poisoned by some crazy fanatics!
Because of that, they started trying to poison Amir’s mind and pressurize him (you can clearly see that after that episode Amir lost his concentration and always seemed distracted and kept looking at his brother. The quality of his singing was clearly affected. Once Sonu Nigam was talking to him, but Amir was busy looking at his brother. Later on Sonu Nigam even said he is getting some wrong vibrations from him. Though I dont like Sonu Nigam very much, I completely agree with him regarding this. We could EASILY make out that from past 2 weeks Amir’s singing had gone down bigtime)
Because of this Amir lost in my opinion. Once Amir lost, the poisoned minds of his family started blurting out poison in front of the camera and told all sorts of crap about how Muslims dont succeed in this Mulk. This poison, as we can now see, has spread onto many many people watching this show. To all such people, I request, please dont get fooled by such stupid things being said like “Muslims are not allowed to succeed in India”! Its completely false. Just open your eyes and look around, and see how many Muslims are so successful in India.
This is an example we should learn from, a little poison by some stupid fanatics in amir’s village ended up poisoning so many minds! Dont let this happen anymore!

Its ridiculous when people play the religion/poor card just because they face failure! There is literally no basis on which anybody can say that muslims are not give their due in India. Infact its the opposite. Look at Bollywood, its literally ruled by muslims. Most of the top actors are ‘Khans’ and directors who get the biggest hits, Farah Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Imtiaz Ali, Aziz Mirza are all muslims. The BEST living actresses are none but Shabana Azmi and Tabu! And what about top music composers like Ismail Darbar and AR Rehman!
Not just Bollywood, but in every field the deserving muslims have succeeded. Sania Mirza is our most popular sports-woman. Irfan Pathan is the most loved bowler in the team. Just a few months ago, the president of India was a muslim, and he was the most loved Indian president according to me.
All these celebrities are successful, because they won the hearts of INDIANS.
Even in the field of classical music, how many muslims are almost considered Gods. Ironically, when Amir got eliminated, the guest was the great great Ustad Amjad Ali Khan! So use your brains a little bit and stop saying stupid things like Amir and Amanat lost because they are Muslims!
And what the hell do you mean they ‘lost’. Just because they didnt get the maximum votes that doesnt mean they lost. Even reaching top 5 can make them much more successful. Remember the most popular singer Shreya Ghoshal had not won in Saregamapa Challenge! And even if talk about votes, Amir got more votes than Tanmay from INDIANS. Because of the international votes(apart from India, Zee TV is most popular in Middle East and Pakistan) he had to be eliminated!

I think Amir’ Family did the right thing. Look at sonu nigham said Was that right… I totally go with what Amir’s brother said what happened to Raja and Amanat. Raja didn’t win but today he is sky high Doing so well for himself and i am sure aMir will be doing that.
At least Amir’s brother got up and spoke Thank god…… Weather people like or not .
sorry my interest in little champs is gone i hope rohan preet wins the first price.

I also feel this competition is meaningless if the rules are not consistently followed. The judges seem
all powerful and change the rules as they please. Aamir’s family should not have reacted as strongly but in all honesty he deserved to be in the top three. Tanmay has always been favored by both judges and they give him a lot of screen time. His foolish commercials are not in good taste and seem to take away from the competition. It is a singing contest. He needs to only sing. Both Sonu and Suresh W have been biased toward certain contestants and treated others harshly. Smita and Aamir have always been judged with high standard while Tanmay can do no wrong. I think the audience is influenced by the judges so it is important they remain neutral. I am very disappointed by Feb 15th episode. I have lost respect for Mr Sonu Nigam who should not say he did not expect poor people to have a voice. Everyone should have a voice and be able to assert themselves.

sanjuna,
Let us stop this once for all, please.
I was moved by Aamir’s words when he requested the audiance to vote for all contestants (in the begining of the show). This proves he has a good upbringing.
What his family did was not right but I believe they momentarily lost control of their senses. Being top 3 means Rs. 10 lac guaranted. And Aamir’s brother said in the interview at the begining of the show that he wants his younger sister to get married and buy a small house. So when they saw their dream shattered they lost control. But I am giving them the benefit of doubt as I believe(from Aamir) that they are a decent family.
When they played the religion card I also got angry as it was cheap trick. But we are humans and we make mistakes.
In last year lil champs one mother threatened to sue Zee tv when her daughter got voted out! But then she apologized unconditionally.
So let us forget this and move on! OK?

Any other objection was fine, but bringing religion was nt at all called for. In the Hindi film industry, where the top stars are Shahrukh Khan, Amir Khan, Salman Khan and Saif Ali Khan, all MUSLIMS…who are loved because of their talent by ppl of all religions..In such a scenario, its wrong to say that there is discrimination based on religion

jis thali mein khaya, uss mein ched karna’ What a cheap comment by Sonu Nigam. I don’t know how come somebody support this?
What does it mean by Amir made money out of Zee TV and judges? Infact Zee TV is making money out of those kids. They did not do any kind of favor on Aamir. It’s so shameful on Sonu for commenting that way. Based on the Show rules Aamir should have been in Top 3 and it’s truly truely judges stupidity to manipulate and break the rules on Suresh Wadkar’s day.
Reply to this comment
Aamir’s family has every right to react that way. I was great fan of Sonu all these days but after Feb 15th episode i really lost interest. 100 % it’s injustice whatever happend to Aamir. Judges have no right to break the format. To make his episode successful Suresh Wadkar broke the format and Sonu Nigam supported saying the votes will be carried over. How foolish? Coming to Aadithya’s comments the parents did not object that decision , it’s so obvious that parents cann’t raise their voice until their kid is in the show
as that might affect the votes. Coming to Suresh Wadkar’s comments - what if Aamir was in bottom 5 that day - is there a logic or scense in that?
To cover up their fault judges commenting on Aamir’s family is insane. The family is poor. Doesn’t mean that they don’t have right to talk.If Amir made the money during the show it’s out of his talent. It’s not Zee TV’s or judges favor. If you guys think that you are doing favor on kids please change this mind set. You guys are making money out of those kids.I protest Sonu’s comments especially. He has no right to talk that way against Amir’s family. Zee TV has to give some compensation to Aamir. I’m Hindu and I protest against whatever happend to Amir.

Nikkism,
Did you not notice how much Sonu supported Aamir in the begining? At one point in time it looked like Sonu was only on his side. Aamir’s promise to study was made to Sonu and not Suresh. Did you NOT notice all the blind support from Sonu’s side? Then how did you notice the neglegence you are talking about. Aamir is eliminated becuase of pure public choice, not because of Sonu. If it was for Sonu to judge, he would probably still be in the show.

Oh My God. It happened again. Accusitions, Criticisms, Hatred, Indifferences etc etc. People say that music is what unites everyone in love and harmony. Is it true?
I always debated with my mom about education. I always told her that education does not make a person. A person is built from within. But, thanks to Aamir’s brother “I WAS WRONG”.
Just one thing though. This voting system has to be removed. Let the pros do the judgement, and not let everyone feel like the pros.
All of you out there that are reacting in strange ways, listen up. “LEAVE THE KIDS ALONE, THEY ARE INNOCENT”.

All the contestants get good and bad comments, not just Aamir. I don’t think sonu has been targeting him in any way. The judges comment on what they hear and if it’s not good they explain to the child where they went wrong so that in the future they can rectify their errors.
There is nothing wrong with doing this, these children are not perfect singers, if they were they wouldnt need to enter these competitions!!
Before accusing zee tv of manipulating results you should make sure you have got the right facts. Each and everyone has their favourites and of course it is dissapointing when they get out, but thats the way of life!!!!
Instead of bashing at Sonu, it’s his family who were showing stupidety, they didnt even care about AAMIRS FEELINGS.
Reply to this comment
I have always been a great Sonu fan but I have to admit that I have now lost all respect for him. It’s just the way he manipulted the voting by his comments. Watch the last few episodes, he was always nit picking on Aamir. Hey comeon the others were making glaring mistakes.. but is was over looked. I am a hindu and religion has nothing to do with this. I dont even live in india and have no affiliations with any of the contestants. From a totally outsiders point of view I can say that ZEE TV MANIPULATED THE VOTES. Aamir deserved at least to be the the top 3.

Hi
I think it is a shame how Aamirs family reacted…at the end of the day this is a competition…………there is only going to be one winner. Aamirs family need to accept this fact.
Aamir has already achieved good opportunites (singing for vishal & Shekhar) but his family have now made it impossible for him to achieve any in the future. After his brothers selfish actions, who is going to want to work with Aamir.
I think if Aamirs family have any sense at all they should publically appologise. I feel so sorry for Aamir, he looked so uncomfortable when this was all happenning.
I think zee tv should, as they do for every contestant that is eliminated, show Aamirs highlights, even though he is not present. I think this is the least ZEE TV can do for him.

@biswas…
i dislike sonu as well
i think he is a great great legendary singer…but he is lacking a bit in tact as a judge… i think zee should send all their judges for a judging course of do’s and dont’s before allowing to come on the show… will save a lot of stupidity…however this may not work out for zee in the long run as there will be less tamasha…hmmmmmm how now brown cow?
about suresh ji… i am not decided… i think his comments were good except when it came to tanmay and vasu and vaishali… i feel he was biased because he genuinely is a nice person and he liked them …and thats why he was not objective in his judgements when it came to them..
adi…hmmmm i dont like him sometimes…i think he needs to take more control and as a host he should have more stage presence… watch ryan seacrest in american idol…he never ever lets simon control him… and adi always lets sonu say whatever he likes…
i know that adi is younger than sonu and he respects him…however sometimes i think you should just do your job as well and as honestly as you can …there is no need to kow tow to anyone…he should grow a backbone yaar

A few comments about the SHOW:
Aditya- Doing very well.
Contestants- Doing their best (but Tanmay sometimes horrible with continuation with his foolish comedies).
Sonu Nigam- Horrible. Inconsistent and Manipulating.
Suresh Wadkar- Mostly consistent but sometimes tries to walk with Sonu and becomes inconsistent.
Amir’s ouster was unfortunate. Ouster of Rohit Shyam, Smita, and now Amir was fully orchestrated by stupid comments of Sonu Nigam who has largely been inconsistent and become a joker of this show.

dear indecent and satan..hi
i was reading the comments and was replying… i only got this far…
@zuni - u are right! its happened… show has to go on..
@rohansthebest - u are also right…his bro was out of control yaar
@soniagul1 - i agree!!! so amir did not make it… lets just accept that
@brat_zee2008…u make a valid point…amir’s family is not as educated as sonu nigam..SN should have not said some of the things he said…was kinda lousy of him to do so i feel as well
—then i stopped replying…WHY? OH WHY?….read on for more of the tragic tale…
after this..it all became racial…its kinda disgusting that ppl cant just stick to complaining about songs and singing and drama… they ALWAYS have to bring race/religion in it!!!!
so let me add my own personal points on this topic
i come from a predominantly muslim country…i am punjabi sikh…when we had our fist MALAYSIAN IDOL…guess who the winner was…A TAMIL HINDU…when we had the Second MALAYSIAN IDOL guess who the winner was…A CHINESE BUDDHIST/CHRISTIAN…and guess who voted for them? THE MALAY MUSLIMS!!!!…why?…cos they vote for talent…
so i dont think that race or religion plays any role in talent competitions when the voting goes public…cos ppl always vote for who they like and not whom they are alike…of course they will always be a lil group of fanatics…we have to always leave room for fanatics … becharey… what can they do if they are so filled with “love” for their religion that they forget : ALL RELIGIONS PREACH THAT U MUST LOVE EACH OTHER …. can some1 pls prove me wrong on this? if u dare…
anyway… satan…ur torture tactics are cool…hot oil eh? i dont think my karate and boxing gloves will help me there…hmmmmmm i will have to learn how to walk on oil
indecent…i have to agree with sandip…this forum just got tooooo racial…
so lets me state my fav… i love amir!! im sad he is gone….my second fav is rohan…however i have to concede that anamika is the best singer among all, as she is always consistent…
my comments on amir’s family…sometimes love makes us do stupid things…and sometimes extreme desperation and hope makes us do stupider things….they were hoping and dreaming how their lives would change after he won… and the rude reality check brought out the worst in them… so give them a break…it was zee that decided to air the drama…so i think responsibilty goes to zee if amir’s chances are diminished in the music world…cos they could have protected the boy and not shown how his family totally lost it..well zee will be zee and drama will equal tamasha will equal viewers will equal money
my comments on sonu…he should have just kept quiet…maintained a dignified silence…let adi talk…he is the host…u are a judge..so shut up and sit tight…
my comments on the racial comments….hahahhahahhahahhahahahhahhahahahhahahahahahhahahahh
my comments on the others like beingfair who tried to get the topics back on track… good job sista!! but fanatics will be fanatics…ppl just cant get away from associating EVERYTHING to race and religion….
NOW A PUZZLE FOR EVERYONE TO ANSWER…A LIL RIDDLE…
I AM SIKH…SO WHY WAS MY FAV NEVER ROHANPREET? in the beginning my fav was TANMAY…then it was AMIR and ANAMIKA…sometimes it was SMITA…are they SIKHS? I mean techically…since i am sikh i MUST love Rohan right?
pls answer…im curious how anyone can explain this weird thing about me…

It was a very cheap behaviour from Amir’s bro & family.Even though bechara Amir was trying to stop his bro, the latter continued. Amir was being more reasonable than his family.
N it was gud thing that zee broadcast both the on/off stage dramas, otherwise we’d never know how ungrateful Amir’s family is. How could they forget that Zee has given Amir such a beautiful & unique platform to perform. It’s from there that people started knowing & appreciated him. He got so much money and thus I agree with the comments from Sonu saying ‘jis thali mein khaya, uss mein ched karna’. He’s right, and there was nothing about religion/amiri/garibi.
mayB zee shouldnt have shown Amir’s family background in that AV back then.where you could see his father asking janta to vote his son bkoz they r vry poor.he totally missed out the whole point of the show, which is about voting for best singer and not the poorest candidate.i thk it has affected the subsequent votings a lot.otherwise amir shud hv been eliminated long back but was saved by sympathy votes of the public.bkoz even though the judges were trying to correct him with their constructive criticism, there wasnt much improvement in his performances.
to sum up,it was a very bad way for Amir’s family to leave the show and its not Sonu/Adi/Zee who should apologize but its Amir’s family.bkoz they were the one who created the whole ugly scene with their irrational behaviour and offensive language. Nothing can justify such a conduct; neither poverty, illitaracy nor whatever.

Amir has been voted out by public opinion which included muslim voters. Being from a poor background is no excuse for ourtrageously bad behaviour. Amir’s family has set a very bad example and those muslims who are making rude and abusive comments do not know the meaning of the word muslim. True muslims do not resort to rude and abusive behaviour. Please accept the truth, Amir is a good singer and has a long way to go to become number 1.

Amir is a good singer but in the competition he has not been consistent. The argument that he is from a poor background and did not have any training is irrelevant. He was selected for the competition and received a same quality of as the other while in Mumbai. The winners were not selected by judges but were voted by national and international voters. The behaviour of Amir’s older brother and his parents was outrageously ugly. Sureshji had not opportunity to offer Amir a place in his school as he did for Vasundra. Amir’s family stormed out in a disgraceful manner. Please do not condone bad behaviour. Although Amir is a good singer, he has never been consistent. His family should have accepted public opinion gracefully. Sonuji passed his comments out of disgust for Amir’s family behaviour.

Sorry for not being strict on this one.. But some of the members have given really good feedback to people who have tried to raise religion question in a competition..

What crap is this (stuff supposedly written by dessikurri), although I strongly feel this person paid somone to post the filthy thoughts into this website, coz I don’t think he is educated enough to even know that something called internet exists, and one can post some text up here….it does not take a lot to figure out that desiikurii is only as educated as Amir’s brother, and definitely not surprising if he does not have any education at all. What more can one expect from undeucated id!!ts like this.

If today he make bad remarks on others then he’ll better get prepared for tomorrow coz someone else will say bad things about him. Remember.Every dog has its own day.Boycott Sonu cds and songs.

SAM 23, This not eliminating or skiping one round was done in Sa re ga ma pah 2007, When the three pakistani were in the bottom three. Futher all agreed to the non elimination including Amir’s brother. In the non elimination round Amir was second, In the round in which Vasundra was eliminated he was first. It is only in the top 4 rounds he secured the least votes. The public put him out , he did not preform to the expectations. His singing lacked expression as was rightly pointed out by the judges. One has to be consistent to remain in the top. If one takes it easy than in a competition like this he is bound to go down. I like how vaishali left the stage. That was real sporting.

dude its not about Amir being poor and they wanted amir out!… its about being fair… its their own rule to eliminate a person every week… and they didnt on feb 1st and amir would have been in the top 4 and since he was #2 on feb 8th… if you look at that Amir was clearly in the top 3… basically he got screwed over by saregamapa managemnt and judges cuz it was not fair..

PLUS…for all the people that are saying that his brother only reacted only when Amir got eliminated… put yourself in their situation!.. do you think if Amir’s brother raised that issue earlier about the judges not being fair and elimination earlier… how would be treating amir right now?.. i agree, amir’s brother was not very smart in his approach but at the same time you cant deny they should have not ignored their own rules of eliminations. not to sound like a smart*ss but i predicted that this would come up, if a kid got who didnt get eliminated on feb 1st would win over the kid who was doing good that day. and it happen to be amir hafiz..

Im dissatisfied with the highly unprofessional behavior of the judges and management of the zee tv program, saregamapa. Amir Hafiz was disenfranchised in the singing competition on February 15, 2008. Although the zee tv organization has spun the issue to the public, very successfully, the injustice was clear. This blunder starts, as Amir’s brother pointed out to distaste of the judges and zee tv management, two week prior to the February 15th episode. Amir had clearly received enough voted to get pass that round and be among the top four and then top three, as well. By doing an injustice that week and not eliminating the lowest vote recipient, the zee tv management had “dug the hole” for themselves. They took the momentum Amir had created for him-self. This shows clear bias and unprofessionalism on the part of zee tv saregamapa management because, as pointed out in the show, Amir would have been in the top three, today, if they had considered the votes on that day. In addition, the behavior of the judge Sonu Nigam in particular, was shameful. He used dishonorable comments regarding Amir’s family, which was appalling to watch. The management for this program has lack of judgment, which is apparent. Considering the controversy in the last saregamapa competition, with international voting for Raja Hasan and Amanat Ali not being counted, the management needed to be better prepared to be fair this time. Yet again, they have failed. It makes me sick to see a poor kid and family get treated in such a shameful manner. And please don’t say, the parents were being jerks only because their son or brother got eliminated because if you think about it. Amir would have been in the top three, if they had counted what they should have counted.

I did’t like the way show ended yesterday. this outburst is extremely bad & not forgiveble.Istead of saying thanks to zee & judges amirs family insulted them.its so disgusting ,very disrespective.Iam sick & tired of people dragging religion into this.he became famous because of zee tv.they should be thankful to zee tv.they earn lot of money through this show.he even lost sympathy votes now.his brother behaved very cheaply.whatever sonu said was absolutely correct, their is nothing wrong in what he said.vasundhara and vibhore was better singers than amir but because of lack of votes they lost.they took peoples judgement sportively.

HI, sfkhan. You never know if hindus only vote for hindus only. but, speaking for myself as a muslim i vote for the best singer. it was Aneek in challenge 2007 and it is Anamika now. Religion has nothing to do with it.

hi people
who ever said that hindus are not voting for just hindus you never know. i ll agian bring up amanat mussarat and raja as well. Another thing sonu nigam is just a judge , he dont need to be more then that. also aditiya narayen spoke qiute nagitive as well. about all of them i would say haati ke daant khanay ke or dikhaanay ke or ( sonu, suresh, aditiya and the rest) and to make the show more intrasted, you need some one different and that was amir so the show gets adicted, and now i dont think they need him , so he is out. there you go grand finale. any one agree with me if not, i stil think i m right. also bad impression on sonu’s album or watever, they put a curse on it heheh

whatever did by aamir’s bro and dad was wrong. but what’s wrong with sonu.. why he bring jis thali mein khate ho…, why?????????he should apologize..why not suresh ji said something, “caz he is a wise man” and understand the feelings of eliminated family member. i think the biggest mistake done by zee tv to telecast all this drama on stage and off stage. i have no idea why judges were against samita nandi and after that aamir.
i dont think so they were that bad to had bashed like that. please let saregamapa as saregamapa, dont make it saregama-propaganda.

hi everyone
i have ben watching this show since almost 3 years , and i have ben notcing the thing that in saregamapa it looks like something is wrong. i remmebr when mussrata was eliminating some one mention it before the announcement. himesh ask him mussarat do u want to sing. it meant the mentors knew who’s getting out….also i could se the last comments over amirs performances. how he was treated . he was just a kid i think, every thing is based on mentors comments. i don’t believe how can a person go from # 1 to elimination. i believe the show was intrasted, but not anymore for me because, that little kid tanmay he is not a singer, and if he act good we have many of them in real life this show is about singing and amir could sing better then him. Another thing about suresh’s day elimination, he should have not break the rules otherwise it would not be a talent or real show. who knows whats going on. becuase if a something happens all the time i don’t think its the coincidence. raja amanat mussarat, and now amir whats going on people! i think its called jiske laathi oski bhens.

I am so tired of this victimization game that some muslims are playing. It makes the rest of us look bad. do not forget that when amir’s classical song actually got to the classical part, he stopped. Even though it was very hard for him, Tanmai finished his all the way to the end.

Its very unfortunate that this elimination took such such a religious overtone.
Aamir family may be economically backward, but they may have done permanent damage to Aamir’s career. For all those who think he was persecuted let me point out a few things
1. His economic situation was highlighted, not the other contestants. His family and neighborhood folks were interviewed and they arranged for his family to fly down for the last couple of episodes. Saahil who was also poor and got eliminated did not get this benefit.
2. He got a lot of offers from folks through Zee volunteering to pay for his school education. Considering this benefit and other singing offers he had, this would be way more beneficial to his career in the long run. You can also add the gifts that all contestants got.
3. If they wanted him eliminated, they could have done it before public voting started. Sonu made it a point to appreciate that he was a good singer and asked folks not to vote him out early.
Sonu had this in mind when me made that statement - there was no religious overtone. Remember that in this show it was Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, a muslim who was being honored. Its also a tough competition, don’t forget. Its sad that his family and fans just see his elimination as religious persecution, forgetting all this.
The sad part is, he’s a really nice kid who has potentially a great future. His best friend on the show was Tanmay and he congratulated him after being eliminated - was so nice to watch. Really sad that his family and fans can’t learn that from him.

GROW UP ATLEAST NOW RELIGION DOESN’T MATTER WHEN TALENT AND GOODNESS ARE IN THIS WORLD. RELIGION DOESN’T STOP TALENT.
Hi,
When your commenting on Sonu, please know yourself he didn’t say anyting bad. He just tried to explain how ZEE brought them Fame and Money. Do you know who is Amir before this Programme. Even though he made loads of mistakes and also forgot lyrics couple of times but still he didn’t get eliminated. I think ZEE made a big mistake by showing his family and their financial status because of it only he got upto this extent(i feel). There are so many young talented singers who got eliminated early. Like Vasundhara,Vibhor,Rohit Shyam rao. Can you say how many Hindus are successful in musilm ruling countries, but i can proudly say there are so many successful Musilms in India.
Note: Even though India Honoured Mohammad Azharuddin as Indian Captain for 10 years based on talent, at the end of the day when he was banned for match-fixing, he said because i am a musilm i got banned.
What about QAZI from FAME GURUKUL was he not a muslim when he won it??
P.S: When a kid(when he is muslim) is eliminated you blame your religion or other religions. The guest judge himself was a talented person and also a muslim. We all respect immaterial whether he is muslim or not. I also voted Amir based on his talent and primarily for his family status out of kindness.
AMIR’S FUTURE CHANCES HAVE BEEN CURBBED BY HIS OWN FAMILY BY BEHAVING SO CHEAPLY.

I am saddened by some of these misinterpreted remarks on Sonu’s comments. More than Sonu, these remarks reflect the biased thinking of the commentators. By saying “jis thali mein khatey ho, usi mein ched kartey ho” he clearly referred to what Zee had given to the kid and what his family has returned. There was absolutely no communal bias in his statement. Irrespective of the nature of the decision every fair minded person should strongly condemn the behavior of Amir’s elders. The kid himself behaved very decently and even tried to calm down his elder brother.
Let’s all be fair and not forget that it was Zee which recognized Aamir’s talent and gave him international fame. They created sympathy for him by focussing on his family’s economic background and encouraged philanthropic inviduals to help him nurture his talent. It was Sonu who hugged him, kissed him and affectionately called him Pahelwaan. How easily some of us forget these little gestures which know no boundries of religion and faith but which admire pure talent. Let’s not forget that Sonu is a great disciple of Mohd Rafi and leaves no opportunity to publicy admit that his singing is influenced by his love and respect for the legendry singer.
It’s not shame on Sonu, it’s shame on some of us whose behavior and thinking is guided by blind emotions. Before I close, I admit, I am a Muslim too and I like Aamir as much as his other fans.

Let’s not encourage this issue. Music has no language. I feel Amir’s family response was very childish but then look at Amir he was being the mature one asking his brother to stop.
Whatever Sonu Nigam said was absolutely right. We living in North America watch and want to help the people who need help but this was totally tasteless. My only concern is Amir’s education. Will be able to get one or not? I hope he does.
Judges and Mentors have a right to their views. Compared to Himesh’s comment I think Sonu’s comments sounded like sugar.
Mumbai is already going to a Marathi only problem created by a non-Indian (I don’t consider Raj Thackeray an Indian, he is working against the democracy of India) so let us keep Sa Re Ga Ma Pa completely non-communal.
God bless all. May they realise they made a mistake and work towards giving Amir a better future and a better example to all children. Amen.

Hi guys,
I am been a watcher of saregamapa for the last 3 years and i do belive what happened with Amir hafiz was completley irrational.
when i first started watching saregama i thought it was an amazing oppertunity for those indivudals in india who have the talent but dont have the money to pursure their talent.
Last year when pakistan was able to participate i knew this would be the start of some major controversy and sure as hell there was!!!
I will not go into the discussion about raja and amanat but what i will say is that Mussarat Abbas was an phenominal singer and was considerably down graded by his mentor Himesh..
Who everyone will agree favored Aneek
i feel this same thing happened in the case of amir, who was repeatedly told that he sang incorrectly. Anyone who listens to him will agree that he has one of the strongest voices in the comptetion. I AGREE that his families reaction was unjust. but sonu nigam who is a representative of saregama should have been more thoughful then saying something so hurtful infront of small children….
ALL I WANT TO SAY IS.. IF OUR PEOPLE CANT LEAVE THER JASBAT AT HOME THEY SHOULDNT BOTHER COMPETING FOR ANYTHING.
QUITE SAD REALLY

The comment from Sonu was not against any religion. Some of the persons who are trying to make it religious matter. And the comment from Amir’s brother and his uncle were communal. Again I can say it was not sonu. If Sonu had some thing in his mind then Solanki would have been in top ten. As he is from his state.
Most of the Muslims never think that they are Indian. The comment of Amir’s brother and uncle is the example. There is no excuse to it the they are from middle class/ Lower middle class.

I am very great fan of SAREGAMA. But after watching the Friday 15th episode and what happened to Amir hafiz and after listening to the mentor’s comments I feel that SAREGAMA is now turnig towards SARA-DRAMA. Lets make realistic and the best be the winner.

There is no denying that Amir was indeed derided time and again. Believe me I am not a big fan of Amir. For me it has always been Vasundhara and I still believe my girl was the undisputed queen who brought in a lot of life into the show. coming to the elimination neither Tanmay/Rohan is better qualified or more deserving than Amir. Amir has a beautiful voice.

I really feel sad for the way Amir got out of the show, it would have been really nice if he would have got out gracefully like others… we would have got a chance to see through his journey in the program….Faults are on either side
1)Zee should not make any exceptions in the program format especially at a critical fag end of the program
2)Amir’s brother could have controlled himself
3)Sonu should never talk about rich and poor in a reality show
4)Whatever Amir’s brother spoke within the show is ok to be telecasted..but whatever happened outside the show need not have to be, it is an individual’s right to express his thoughts
Whatsoever it is an eitherway benefit for the kids as well as Zee…..the kids got opportunity and because of their singing ability the show is popular.
But from a middle class family point of view, the price money was huge which might have brought the disappointment in Amir’s family, the exception made might have triggered it….
Let’s wish all the best to do hardwork and get the best they deserve.

Hi All,
First of all, i am really feel very sorry for Aamir and his brother. I think he should not react like this, I am agree with Sidarth some extent, that this all becuase of lack of education. But, on the same time, i am also feel very sorry for Sonu as well, why he brought poor people in between. You are insulting the whole poor world because of one person, thats really in tolerable.
I will give my details comments later.

1stly Desikuri, seems like you have really lost your head and ability to think straight
There was no need for you to drag one’s religion into this, c’mon this is a music competition.. I pity your mentality! The winner was decided by votes and as far as the judges are concerned, their “positive criticism” has helped the kids to improve themselves further…
2ndly, I wasn’t shocked to see the way aamir’s family members(bro n dad) reacted after he got eliminated ! People with that kinda level of education normally tend to behave that way, no offense !:-)
Moreover, I feel that Rohanpreet is a great singer!
I just want to urge all the fans of aamir to accept the fact that he has been eliminated and stop trying to make a big deal out of it.
In my point of view, Saregamapa is a great show and I salute them for bringing out the talents of all the contestants in front of the whole world!
Peace!

Desikurii, i believe your level of education or moral values is much much lesser than a normal human being or you are reincarnated from 1950s.
Its really ridiculous to bring religion in a MUSIC competition. I am the MOB. I am the one who took THE GREAT MOHAMMAD RAFI to great heights. I am the one who WORSHIPS NUSRAT FATEH ALI KHAN and RAHAT FATEH ALI KHAN like my gods. I am the one who is definitely going to make ATIF (FROM PAKISTAN) a STAR.
This is just a music competition, sometimes luck is on your side and sometimes its not. I feel bad for AMIR, he sang greatly but you have to admit that his level of performance was going down with each performance.
I am extremely disappointed with what Amir’s family did. They have brought hatred to them by making such irresponsible comments.
Poverty and Etiquettes and two very different things. I have seen lots and lots of poor people having modesty and etiquettes.
In short, jis thali me khana chahiye usme chhed nahi karna chahiye.
DESIKURRI, YOU MAKE ME PUKE. YOU HAVE SUCH UGLY THOUGHTS. YOU DO NOT BELONG TO THIS BEAUTIFUL WORLD.

WE are hurt by the reaction of Sonu Nigam. He had no right to say such things. Someone talented got eliminated, a deserving candidate. Was Sonu getting jelous that people care about Amir and wants to help him. This ‘degrading Amir’ Drama was going on since last couple of weeks, i Guess it started after he sang with Big B. We don’t expect judges to be biased, Suresh W. seems like has no say, whatever sonu Bhyia decides is ‘ Satya Bachan’. Unblievable act on sonu nigam.

My reply to desiikurii , you are really out of your mind to give that comment, The winner was decided by votes, The judges comment guide the public voting to the most capable candidate, Every body got a fair break when rohan and vasundhara were not eliminated in the previous round all the votes were carried forward. all were asked including amir’s brother who consented that there be no elimination that week. so why the fuss if Amir is eliminated because of few votes. In my opinion Rohit sham was more deserving. But than the public is there . If the hindus really voted for the hindus than amir should not have made it to the top 4. Such foolish behavior has ruined the child’s future in the music industry. Rohan has a unique voice, which is very soulful, and he has been consistent in his performance. Rohan did not alone make it with punjabi votes but with all india votes who thought that Rohan deserved his place in the top three.

I have a lot to say about this episode. First, in one of my earlier posts, i said i wanted to see Tanmai “handle” a classical song. Well, i will admit, he was good but i am an Anamika fan. Then, why did Amir’s brother have to go in to a fit like that? Because of his temper he could ruin Amir’s chance of making it in the industry. Why did he have to bbring Raja and Amanat in to all this? Because they are muslims like him and they were not number 1? I am a muslim and one of Aneek’s many muslim fans. I love the guy. He deserved to win, let’s not question someone else’s victory because Amir didn’t make it. Thank you!

There is a small percentage of religious fundamentalist(Including sikhs, hindus and muslims) who always decide/vote on religion basis. But most the music lovers in India still vote on the basis of performance. Some voters ofcourse are influenced by the decision and remarks of judges.
Let us not bring religion in music.Rafi ji,Kishore ji and Lataji are respecetive equally ireespective of their religions.Let us support the best singer.Anamika and Rohn deserve to be on the top.

I was not much surprised by Ameer’s family’s act. It was well expected. I don’t expect much from a family with that level of education. I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feeling but, a well educated, well behaved person will never do such ridiculous act. I was also not happy that Ameer got eliminated and I still believe that he should have been there, and not Tanmay. Why Raja and Amanat are being pulled here? Do you guys know how much money Raja and Amanat are earning through Zee TV’s programs? Have you guys thought about it? Isn’t it something very illogical? Why a religion is being discussed? May be, the Indian junta did not vote for a religion…but this Indian junta only voted a Pakistani. 2 out of three were from the same religion from where Ameer belongs to.
Be logical and thoughtful. Don’t just argue for sake of arguing. Be rational and patient. Think…think and think.
Ameer’s family…you could not appreciate what ZEE has done to you…you are thinking what you lost. Bravo!!! This is India. Shame on you!!!

I feel so sorry about Desikuri.Where were you when Amir was being promoted like any thing by Zee.Were Rohnpreet and Anmika ever given any publicity by Zee in their own cities.
I always liked Amir and i also agree that Amir is better than Tanmay and Rohnpreet but his last few performances were not at all good. This time i appreciate the decision of voters.Tanmay or Amir were deserving least votes and that is what has happened.
I also feel sorry about his brother who instigated the poor guy Amir to leave the stage. He behaved like a fanatic.Where was he when Vibour was eliminated that time no body raised any point.Where was he when the best singer like Sankita was eliminated. Now they are bringing this religion issue.I am so proud of my Indian voters for always voting good singers.I am sure Raja and Amanant will never agree with what he said.I am also a great fan of Amanant. He got excellant support from Indian audience.I have always voted for him.Otherwise can you imagine such a support to hindu artist performing in Pakistan.
I still pray to Almighty that better sense prevails on Amir and his family to accept the decision. And let Amir work hard.He has great future.Zee has given him more than what he deserved;Judges have supported him more than what he deservved;Indian Audience has also supported him more……

Desikuri is talking nonsence. Sonu and Suresh both are like Real Guru in the areas of singing. What ever they do ..they are always welcome. Amir’s brother and father both were begging for votes. their family were saying ..to vote the poor. And they were happy when Amir was getting promoted. The day he got eliminated … they were suddenly changed their mode of behavior. I dont think Amir deserves to be in top three. I was expecting Amir to be out of the compitition before singers like Rohit shamrao got eliminated. People of world thanks a lot for voting and choosing the champs, really deserving candidates. Everybody just remember and keep it in mind..you can not win by showing and begging votes.

I think the decision of having no elimination could have affected the results of this weeks.
But I didn’t have that much difference, cause vasundra was still in the bottom 2, but rohan ended up coming second.
so its fair to say, that because vasundra was the one to get elimated last week, the decision of suresh to have no elimiation didn’t have any unjustic effect on todays results.
If amir, anameka, or tanmay would’ve been eliminated last week, then it would’ve been very unfair.
but despite all this, amirs brother should’ve spoken then, when the elimiation was canceled.
And of course he even didn’t late cause this decision went in amira favour, he came number 1.
so it does not make any sense for amira brother to use that weeks decision as an excuse for amirs elimiation.

This show is going well. But at the same time something is going wrong in there.why judges are mentioning “poor people-showing true colors” ,what they mean by that.
And why there was no objection from anybody when sureshji told there will no elimination on a particular week.I think the decision on that day affected the results to come by.They wanted to save vasundhara but didnt work.what is this if there is some persons birthday( or any celebration) there will be no elimination?utter nonsense.Judges should only pointout participants mistakes or try to correct them. But they are trying to manipulate the results by their statements and decisions.

i watched 15feb episode it was a gud episode but it is very much disgusting tht people can not tolerate if they got eliminated.
when amir was winning thn at tht time his bro was quite happy with the judges ,vots and with zee tv ,but when he got eliminated thn lastly his bro has shown tht how cheap person he is.
some people says tht Anamika is a drama queen but still she is a very gud singer instead i shud say tht she is best in all, other thing is Rohanpreet is also very gud singer ,& i feel tht Tanmay is cute n innocent boy & also a very gud singer.
one more thing ,i read previous episode comments of all the people in this forum ,one comment i read abt Amir tht his voice is gud n he is different among all ,so tht he was selected as a playback singer and not Rohanpreet , so i would like to tell u those people tht they shud also tolerate his elimination ,bcoz this time Rohanpreet is at position no. 2 & not Amir.
